It sounds like Celebrity Rehab has done Michael Lohan good!
He said in a recent statement:
"I want to apologize to my wife and children for not concentrating on helping them and taking the focus off of them. I totally neglected focusing on them."
That AND capitalized off of their problems, but hey, we're just glad he's finally seeing the light. We hope, at least.
He blames the problems with his family on his "co-dependency issues", which he came to terms with thanks to Dr. Drew, explaining:
“It's no excuse, but I followed my heart and my co-dependency issues, made very clear by Dr Drew, which will air on Celebrity Rehab, got the best of me. I was angry at Kate [Major] and I should have been focusing on my family - Dina, Lindsay, Michael, Ali and Cody. Instead of focusing on myself and my family, I tried to help people like Kate, who conned me."
Utilizing what he has learned in rehab, he thinks it's finally time to mend his estranged relationship with his fam, saying:
“It's time to focus on my family, what Dr. Drew and his team, taught me and all the great things I learned and the life I led following my work at Teen Challenge."
Considering Lindsay was considering dropping HIS family name, we're pretty sure it's time for MiLo to step up and act like a father for once.
Do U think Michael means what he says or is this a bizarre publicity plug for his reality television appearance?
