Our hero!

True Blood's delicious Ryan Kwanten helped to save an injured man who was bleeding on a Hollywood street Friday night.

A witness who saw it all go down said:

"There was a bloody guy lying in the middle of the street at Hollywood and Highland and no one was doing anything. [Ryan was driving by], pulled up, saw the man down, jumped out of his car, and raced over to see if he could help."

Ryan asked some people passing by to help him move the man onto the sidewalk where Ryan "stayed there watching him until paramedics arrived."

Another eyewitness said that several people recognized Ryan and a crowd began to gather, but he stayed to "make sure this guy was okay."

It's so cool that Ryan not only stopped, but helped the man and waited for paramedics. Hawt and heroic. What an amazing guy.

I like Kwanten, but there's nothing special about what he did. People are supposed to stop and render help to someone injured on the street. It's too bad it took an Australian to show that to local Angelinos. That's what I find interesting about the situation.

    My God he is gorgeous

Heroic? I dont think so. Good samaritan? Absolutely. The people that didnt help must be rotten inside.

That's sad…. we are becoming inhuman.

Re: canuckistani – you don't need to negate the situation - it's good to have someone of some stance to show the people of Los Angeles how to be a good samaritan.

Re: canuckistani – I agree! Why didn't all the people who walked past the man help him? Why did it take a celebrity to get peoples interest, apparently someone bleeding and in danger didn't render any interest, but a guy off True Blood does.

  12. 12

He's a genuine person.. not to many of those in Hollywood. Can't wait for the return!

  13. 13

if it was a homeless guy he should have let him die. homeless people are a blight on society

  14. 14

its sad that we praise something that really shouldnt be such an uncommon thing.. shouldnt we all do things like this more often so that its not a surprising and "news-worthy" action? and then we wouldnt have to act like its so rare that we have to actually have to report about it…

  15. 15

Go Ryan ! Us Aussie's rock. How sad that no one else stopped to help.

  16. 16

Go Ryan !! Us Aussie's rock. How sad that no one else would help this poor guy.

doesn't anyone knoe that you are NOT suppsed ton move the vicitim of anykind of crime, evidence and also what if thye have abback injury orn something??? christ!!!!

  18. 18

Re: zpron – in most situations thats true but did you miss the part of him laying in the middle of the street? you should probably move them into a safe spot so that person wouldnt get hit by a car. what a good samaritan. ryan should be proud of himself. it shocks me that no one else would do that for the man.

  19. 19

He just did what any normal person should do.

  20. 20

He is a great person indeed. Shame on those who didnt reach a hand to the injured man.

  21. 21

Re: R.B TnT – I so agree!!!! He's got such an odd look. Not trying to be mean. It's just got to be the makeup, right?

  22. 22

Not heroic, but he's a good citizen. We're all supposed to behave like this..

  23. 23

yeah, and the truly amazing thing is that absolutely no one else stopped to help him!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so who knows what would have happened if Kwanten hadn't come along. So sad.

  24. 24

So, someone could actually be laying in the road bleeding in Hollywood and no one stops to help? What a pathetic place!! Hollywood must really be full of self-centered, shallow people. Disgusting!!

  25. 25

It's kind of ironic considering the statistics of the 'bystander effect' and how many people above say that what he did should be expected/not celebrated as a hero. Because I bet that many who left a comment like that would keep on walking.

It's sad that this actually made news, that no one else helped the man… but it still makes me love Jason even more :)
