Yay! Love this show, even though they're giving me more competition! LOL

Nice. Mostly obese women loading up their carts with more food than they need all in the hopes of saving money. I'll pass.

Re: PosseUser – no, one guy did get coupons to get over a skid of free cereal. He then said he was calling his neighborhood food kitchen and donating it all to that. He had like 1500 boxes. NICE DONATION.

What isn't mentioned are these people are highly predatory and pushy people who do this and come through the checkout line with 100 of the same products, overwhelming poor checkers by making a scene when they try and check each coupon correctly, which takes lots of time of course and pisses other customers off who have to wait. So sometimes coupons pass that weren't for the exact right product, and hardworking checkers get fired.

like my two friends, one with 16 years at the company, the other with 18 years. Now their jobs are down the drain because of these people.

I wanna know where they shop that the bill comes to almost $700 lol

This seems like alot of work!!

someone is extremely misinformed. i'm a cashier and get "coupon ladies" all the time, and they're doing great work. i've started to do it too and i am only 21. over the past year i've been able to donate TONS of groceries to food shelters with all the free stuff i've been able to score. i know some of the ladies do the same. and what the hell is wrong with spending a fraction of the cost on groceries? must be nice to not have to worry about some costs…

:) I'm one of these women. I never clear a shelf or hold up a line, as I'm not trying to inconvenience everyone else, but I get almost all of my groceries/toiletries for free or at least 90% off.

I wanna know where the hell they get all these coupons from!??!!

I think it's what they buy. I watched the show a few months ago (It's not that new). Without the coupons they would spend 700 dollars because all the coupons are for bulk items mostly: buy one pack of gatorade get 5 free -kind of deal… and when they ring it up without the coupons… it shows the normal price. I once watched where a woman bought like 200 bars of chocolate and got them ALL for free.

I was behind one of those "extreme couponers" in the grocery store about a year ago. She had about four carts full of groceries, and her bill came to $2.31. As irritating as it is to be waiting behind someone with that many groceries and that many coupons, the people in line actually laughed and clapped when the clerk told her the total. I've talked to people who do it, and while you can save a FORTUNE, it's extremely time-consuming, and you can't just buy anything you want. You have to shop according to what it on sale and what coupons you can combine with those sales. I'd never have the patience.

I'd be interested in seeing exactly what type or people watch TLC because from the looks of things, there's nothing but crap on that station.

OMG! That's Me! I just love rolling around in coupons! Thanks for the shoutout about Extreme Couponing Perez :)

Re: ennui – I highly doubt that. Someone thats had 16-18 years on that job will most definitely not get fired over a coupon lady..So either they got let go for something more serious or they are an incompetent retard..Which would explain why they were a cashier for 16 years LOL

That's my BFF!! Keep your eyes on this girl :) I'm SUPER proud of her :)

These people are indirectly driving prices up every day. The stores aren't losing money, because they are reimbursed from the manufacturer. However, do you really think the manufacturer isn't going to make up this money in some other way? There's no such thing as a free lunch people. And when they do come in and empty an entire shelf of product, they are inconveniencing other shoppers who then don't have the opportunity to buy that product. I'm all for saving money, but it's gotten way out of hand.

Re: jle – Oh wow. Who needs 200 chocolate bars? These people remind me of my aunt, she simply buys things because she has coupons, even though she'll probably never use them. It's nice that they donate a lot of this food to food pantries or shelters. How much of this food they get is going to go bad before they even use it?

  19. 19

Woohoo this is amazing!! I am the one in the commercial talking about getting out of the store for free! I love being able to provide for my family for $150 a month in groceries! :)

my mom is a cashier and she learned how to do this through costumers also and got her aunts into it and now me. Although it is worth it.. it is very time consuming. finding coupons either online newspaper or going store to store. then cutting them out takes hours. then you go to the store and you have to look for exact product and also size. and flavors. i've spent about 4 hours each time with her and only spent maybe 20 bucks for a 100 dollar items. it is worth it i applaude people who do this but it is very annoying for both the customer and cashier. and another thing. i tried saving money on grocerys. its' mostly junk food in coupons and cereals. i still had to go back and buy meat and "actual" food. coupons are probably best for snacks and house hold cleaners or items. but it is fun to see that price at the end of the trip. i imagine the trip is shorter once you become a pro at it. and not take up to 4 hrs :|

So many questions! I think the point is that you need to WATCH THE SHOW! If you can't/don't want to, don't be a troll.
Go Chrystie, Go! You rock sistah! She them what Mainahs can do with frugal, Yankee ingenuity!

Re: ennui – If your friends couldn't handle the situation they should have requested assistance from their manager. That is their own fault that they got fired.

  23. 23

Re: AimeeBee – I agree, it's amazing what they do but you can't just buy anything so I don't see how it could be very practical..and it's far too time consuming!

  24. 24

Why the hell isn't my comment showing up, God DAMMIT!

Extreme Couponing looks like it might be interesting for at least a couple episodes. I don't have cable tv since I get it all online from a service TVDevo.com . Does anyone know if this show is going to be on this?
