Now, before anybody gets really up in arms, despite how actor David Thewlis played the character, he did so without J.K.'s knowledge.
Instead, he played the character of Lupin as gay on the request of director Alfonso Cuaron!
Some of the actors and crew were at an Apple Store in SOHO recently fielding questions. David Thewlis revealed a very interesting tidbit, that resulted in a series of tweets from SnitchSeeker:
Jk rowling told david thewlis that lupin was gay in prisoner of azkaban, But changed over the years and married tonks
A thousand sorries, but just listened to the audio again, & Thewlis said he played Lupin as gay because of Cuaron, without JKR's knowledge.
Either way, it's extremely inneresting to us that Thewlis played Lupin gay in the third HP movie. We support the movie because it's freaking awesome, regardless of whether or not Lupin was played as a gay man!
Do U think it's possible that JKR had written Lupin as such at the beginning? Would it change the view of the movie/book for U to know?
