Jeremy Renner To Be Offered Bourne Role!
Such a fab decision!
Renner, one of the freshest actors out there right now, has the talent to pull off the new Bourne with ease! After his tours in The Hurt Locker and The Town and his upcoming role as Hawkeye, we do not see a single flaw in this choice!
About the next installment:
The new movie will simply take the title from author Robert Ludlum’s book, but will not use the story. Gilroy has also made it very clear that the new film is not a reboot or a recast or a prequel, and that no one’s replacing Matt Damon. There will be a whole new hero, a whole new chapter and that this film is a stand-alone project.
We can't lie to you guys, we are VERY excited to see where they go with this, especially if they end up landing Jeremy. We're really into the idea of it not being a replacement, but a stand-alone in the same universe.

Not sure what 'freshest actors' means! But thank god you have given your approval. If they are just using the title from Robert Ludlum’s books but not his story then it is really not a Bourne movie.

NNNNNNOOOOOO! I mean no offense to Jeremy he is a good actor but Matt Damon is Jason Bourne. I thought they were trying to past this off as a re-boot with a younger actor. Jeremy is about the same age as Matt or at least he looks the same age….BUT NNNOOOOOOO!!!
I'm broken-hearted at the idea of any "Bourne" film without Matt Damon, but I LOVE Jeremy Renner. If anyone can make a non-Damon Bourne film watchable, it would be him. As long as he's playing his own character, and not playing Jason Bourne, I might be able to live with it. He is a great choice.

Matt Damon is Jason Bourne … but Jeremy Renner is a very good replacement. Well it at least it makes me want to go and see the movie to see how it plays out.
