Thanks for this video. It confirms what I've been told. She can't sing and she can't play the "banjo." She's a commercial invention. BTW: I went to her fan website. Her official website. There is a thread there which urges her rabid fans to fan out all over the internet and go after any negative comments. Seek and destroy! Her multiplatformed approach to marketing isn't limited to promoting herself, it is also involved with crushing negative publicity in the bud! As it were. Taylor sure knows the meaning of "Mean."

I'm not Taylor Swift's biggest fan (I don't like much country music in general). However, not only do I like this song a lot–I also give her MUCH respect for empowering abused children everywhere with these lyrics. This isn't another fluffy teenage love song–it has substance. Good for her.

if you look closely no one in the "band" is actually changing chords or playing actually… neither is taylor swift. kind of makes me think she's lip syncing as well… One hand is strumming the guitar/banjo/violin whatever but the other hand doesn't ever really change positions O.O

I dont really enjoy this song compared to others of hers but I have to say, I love how she doesn't just sit there and sing. She puts on a performance and truly captures you into the moment.

I love how people rip on Taylor, who actually sings live, plays music, and has a hand in her performances, but you bow down to Britney Spears who is way past her prime. Taylor is a country singer and if that is not your preference then do not listen to it. The industry makes some of her songs into the pop category but if you havent noticed, they change them from the original country versions. So stop wining because she is way talented then most of the people of today.

AMAZING JOB,Taylor!!! By far, one of her best performances, ever. The "country redneck" look she was incorporating was her showing (in a sarcastic form) the Country Music Industry who says she's "too pop, not country". Of course, them and some of the people on here were not intelligent enough to understand that concept. It flew over their heads. That is what the song is about, read her interviews.
As for lip-synching, really? How can you NOT tell that was live?! Some people will create any "theory" to bash true talent.
LAST, BUT NOT LEAST: @Sheena Mae- It's called a 'Ganjo,' look it up. You STRUM it, not pick it. It is NOT a Banjo.

anyways she did awesome. would of been better though it towards the end when that city lights cars signs came up that she tore off her dress and was a sparkly glamourous dress underneath. presenting that she made it.

:) i really hope this isn't her next single. but i guess it is. and i can understand that w/all the hate going around these days.
she's such a great person/role model.

Re: lemonbird – i absolutely think you are right. i used to have a friend who was completely i mean COMPLETELY in love with her and he started talking about how everynight they would get on chat and search for sites that had pictures or bad storys about her. and it was all he could talk about. i had to cut ties after that it got really annoying.

I find this hilarious. How do you KNOW that she does that all the time? It's pretty obvious to me and the majority of others out there that she is actually singing this live. You can hear it, there are little imperfections in her voice and it is sung quite differently in some sections to the original track.

I find it so amusing that when her haters actually hear her sing something well, all they can think of is "SHE'S LIP SYNCING/USING AUTOTUNE". For fucks sake, grow up. She sang this well and you know it.
