Construction On Disneyland Shanghai To Begin THIS FRIDAY!!!

disneyland shanghai construction starts this week

Very exciting!

Way back in November 09, we learned that Disneyland Shanghai was officially a go!

Now, nearly a year and a half later, the Walt Disney Co. is finally ready to begin construction on the theme park!

On April 8, Disney CEO Bob Iger will oversee the beginning of construction on the $3.7 billion "initial phase of construction," which will "cover 1.5 square miles" and will include "a theme park and two hotels, and…additional 1.1 square miles for further development."

The park is currently scheduled to open in 2016 in China's Pudong district, and it will be the sixth Disney theme park to be launched around the world.

So cool! We can't wait to see it when it's completed!

Will U visit Disneyland Shanghai when it opens in 2016?

    3.7 BILLION $$$$$$$$$
THATS JUST A SMALL PERCENTAGE OF
THE INTEREST WE PAY YEARLY TO CHINA

SO IN REALITY WE ARE PAYING FOR
    IT

The Chinese are in the position of being able to pick and choose their indulgences. With such a large population I'm sure it will be short order before the good folks at Universal and other entertainment operations will be opening new venues there. Finally-an export!

Perez, did you forget that China is a communist country and does not allow freedom of speech? From Gay Life in China: "On the mainland, being homosexual is still very hard," one man told China Daily. 'Under pressure from families and society, most homosexual people dare not reveal their sexual orientation and have to get married to someone of the opposite sex."
Only Taiwan has been somewhat progressive about gay rights. Not Mainland China.

Do any of these companies care about the violation of Human Rights in China??
