With only a few weeks left before the twinsies join the Cannon-Carey household, it was now or never to have the nekkid baby bump photo shoot!
This week, Mariah Carey bares it all for the cover of Life & Style as she talks about becoming a mother for the first time with her husband Nick Cannon. In her interview, she sounds nothing but excited to meet her little ones - a boy and a girl - when they join their family, which should be any day now.
MiMi told the mag that she had reservations about doing this shoot at first, but ultimately decided it was a memory she wanted for herself and her fans. She explained:
"I was feeling very vulnerable about taking pictures at all right now, but then I didn't want to miss this opportunity to document this once-in-a-lifetime experience. My ultimate goal was to share this incredibly personal moment with my true fans."
You had nothing to be nervous about, sweetie. You look amazing! Hell, if it weren't for the baby bump, we would have thought it was 1995! You look that good!
After the shoot was over, Mariah revealed that her twins enjoyed their moment in front of the camera just as much as she did. She raved:
“The babies were kicking almost the entire time; it was unbelievable. Especially the girl — clearly she’s a diva in training!"
Just what the world needs - MiMi 2.0. (There isn't an inch of sarcasm in that statement. We're super excited to meet the little di-va!)
As for the proud papa, Nick was dutifully by his wifey's side all throughout the shoot and at one point, told the interviewer, “I thought I couldn’t love Mariah more, but I have a whole new appreciation and admiration for her.”
Aww! And they said it wouldn't last! Sweet!
Well, we hope you are taking good care of yourself, MiMi. Right now, we hope your feet are up in a nice comfy chair somewhere, enjoying these last precious moments of peace and quiet before the babies come. They'll be a joy in your life, for sure - but you're also not going to sleep for the next 3 months! Enjoy! Ha!
