Steven Soderbergh Admits To Making Sex A Baby With Australian Woman

Steven Soderbergh my bad

It turns out director Steven Soderbergh's life may not be too far from the titles of his films!

The married Sex, Lies, and Videotape filmmaker has admitted to an affair and subsequently A BABY with an Australian woman named Frances Lawrencina Anderson while directing a play down under.

However, he's actually owning up for his actions and has agreed to begin making "reasonable" child support payments.

Soderbergh's baby mama says their fling began in December 2009, while he was in Sydney, Australia, directing a play called Tot Mom.

Okay, so his art really does reflect his life!

In February, the filmmaker acknowledged he'd "engaged in consensual sexual intimacy and as a result thereof the plaintiff became pregnant," but called into question his lover's claims for money, and the extended involvement of attorneys, in the case.

She probably realized she had a baby by you and could therefore be a millionaire! So sad, but true in this day and age.

Their love child, a baby girl named Pearl Button Anderson, was born on August 30, 2010.

Congratulations?

In any case, we're at glad he's taking responsibility and will be taking care of Pearl financially for the rest of her life until she turns 18, but hopefully longer!

Are U surprised by Steven Soderbergh's baby mama drama?

Biology is not a surprise. And of course she had an attorney to watch out for the child's interests. That's just common sense.

      Pearl Button? Good Lord…

    3. 3

You give your kid a name like "Pearl Button", and they're going to grow up making their own "films".

    4. 4

Is he still married? I feel bad for his wife.

Poor Jules Asner!!! She always seemed like a really great, normal person. I feel bad for her!

Ah well. Shit happens. At least he is being a responsible adult about it.

    7. 7

      Pearl Button? Lol! Poor kid.

I wonder if this is why he said he wasn't going to direct films anymore in an interview last month? Could that have just been a money saving tactic? Interesting…

      Everyone cheats in Hollywood….and elsewhere:)

Poor Jules, WTF? He's an asshole.

I guess he's not satisfied with Jules Asner!

Makes you wonder how many times he did this sort of thing while married before someone got pregnant. I feel bad for his wife.

Not as surprised by the hanky panky as I am that he thinks he determines what 'reasonable' payments are before he 'agrees' with them, lol.

Why is it the mans responsibility to be the one to fully financially support it? I know women are useless and just spread their legs to pop out a baby to get taken care of but damn…

The financial support is great but let's hope he'll actually be a father to this kid. Since he, like many men, doesn't think it's his responsibility to use protection, he probably thinks writing a check each month fulfills his dad duties.

No one is mentioning his wife. SHe was a entertainment correspondent. I feel back for her. I hope she is doing good.

That play "Tot Mom" is about a selfish bitch in Orlando, FL named Casey Anthony that killed her 2 1/2 year old daughter Caylee and claimed a non-existent Zanny the Nanny kidnapped her. Casey went MIA from her parents house and after 31 days the grandmonther ended up reporting the baby missing. She left body triple bagged in her car trunk to rot then threw her in the woods down the street from her house. 6 months later they found her bones with duct tape wrapped around her skull stuck in her hair . Her death penalty case is getting ready to go to trial next month. I hope his life doesn't reflect his art…

its not the fact that he had an affair that disturbs me, but that he (obviously) had unprotected sex

Well, she's a ho for screwing around with a married man, and he's a double ho. Hope his wife cleans him out. Poor baby-a trashy mother, and a father who tried to weasel out of paying child support after he apparently chose not to wear a condom. Frickin' sad all over.
