Carrie Bradshaw Candace Bushnell Writing Two More YA Books!

She's bringing a lighter version of Sex and The City to a whole new generation!

Girlies, if you need something to read while hitting up the beach this summer, might we suggest picking up Candace Bushnell's latest venture, Summer and The City. It's the sequel to Candace's earlier novel, The Carrie Diaries, in which she details the early teen years of one Miz Bradshaw. This new book will explore Carrie's first summer in Manhattan and even explain (finally!) how she met her future besties, Samantha, Miranda, and Charlotte.

And good news! Once you are done with that, you'll have two more novels from Candace to look forward to! HarperCollins, her publisher, has just announced that they have commissioned the author to pen two more books for their young adult collection. However, there is no word yet on whether these books will also be about Carrie Bradshaw, or if Candace is prepared to write about a whole new set of Manhattanites. Time will tell, but we're hoping she sticks with the ladies that made her famous. We doubt we're going to get another movie, so we'd rather the series live on this way!

I am so excited for the new one. I read The Carrie Diaries last year and fell in LURV. OMG!! I have been on my toes excited to see what happens when she finally goes to NYC and who she loses ur "V" card to!
