Chris Cuomo Up For Lauer Gig?

Chris Cuomo Ready For Lauer Position

Chris Cuomo seems like he's been passed up too many times when it comes to the amount of experience he has and number of prime open host/anchoring positions that have been open for him. These things have happened oddly often, without much rhyme or reason.

The good news is that he seems to finally be the frontrunner to replace Matt Lauer for Today, should he decide to bounce!

He pretty much deserves it after these shenanigans:

He'd been the news anchor on the show — and frequent fill-in host — for three years and had widely been expected to be named co-host with Robin Roberts when Diane Sawyer left the show to become the anchor of the evening newscast. But he lost the "GMA" job to George Stephanopoulos — and was moved to a weekly job as host of the primetime magazine "20/20," a consolation prize of sorts. He was just as unhappy when ABC hired former MSNBC anchor and lawyer Dan Abrams last February as its new legal reporter.

We think he's done a fab job so far, and is the perfect choice for this spot. He has our support!

Chris, good luck! We're pulling for you!

Do U agree he'd be great??

I'm gonna faint. If this happens I'll watch that show more. I already watch Fox and Abc for news but that Cuomo is a hot asss dream Homo. He could anchor me anytime baby lol

He's great. I thought for sure he was going to get the GMA co-anchor spot, and was shocked when he didn't. If he goes to the Today show, I'll be switching from ABC to NBC.

He's a smug know-it-all - and I don't like his political family either. Really who watches these morning shows????

  4. 4

    He's adorable!!!

I'm an NBC viewer for years and therefore barely even know this guy.
Who put out this story, his publicist? I would resist looking at his toothy mug. NBC has plenty of talent in-house and doesn't need to go scavenging for newsreaders.
I'm not a fan of the Cuomos, either.
    Pass.

He is so missed from GMA, if it wasn't for Robin Roberts I wouldn't even watch it. If he bounces to NBC, I will follow!

He is certainly a big step up from the arrogant pinhead Lauer.

He comes off really phony to me.
