Seriously? Donald Trump On Top In New Poll

| Filed under: Wacky, Tacky & TruePolitikDonald TrumpSarah Palin

donald trump doing well in the polls

Looks like Republicans REALLY like Donald Trump or people are messing with the pollsters.

Based on the most recent poll of Republican voters, Donald Trump is the top candidate at 19 percent support, along with Mike Huckabee who's at the same place.

Here's what CNN Polling Director Keating Holland had to say about Trump's rise in the polls:

"More than four in ten Republicans say they would not like to see Trump toss his hat in the ring."

"Are Republicans switching from Romney to Trump? Some are, but it's a lot more complicated than that, as you would expect with 11 potential hats in the ring. Only one in five Trump supporters say that Romney would be their second choice. It looks like Trump pulls as much support from Gingrich and Palin as from Romney, and Romney's support would go down even if Trump were not in the list of potential candidates."

Very inneresting.

We're still having trouble believing that Trump is getting so much support at this point in time! Guess we'll see how things progress, but if these numbers are any indicator, things may be surprisingly looking good for Trump in this race…

Do U think Donald Trump will continue to gain support?

Believe me when I say the Republicans don't like Donald Trump. He is a joke. Just like our current President.

  2. 2

WHAT'S SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND? THE COUNTRY IS IN A TERRIBLE FINANCIAL MESS CLOSE TO COLLAPSE,IT WILL TAKE A FINANCIAL GENIOUS TO SAVE IT.HENCE TRUMP FOR PRES.AND INDEPENDANTS ALSO LIKE HIM!

  3. 3

The Donald, Sarah Palin, and Michele Bachmann. Way to represent Republicans/Tea Party!

  4. 4

The common republican is an idiot — they have no clue the folks they elect are the ones who make their lives harder. They are reactionary and think with their emotions — and anger. Trump is a showman and he is giving them what they want. There is no substance, but they wouldn't know that…

  5. 5

Would love to see the Donald get the nomination. He's a horrible, dishonest and a bottom feeder of a man. He and his family are trash and would take the Republicans right down the drain. He's living proof money does not buy class. Republicans deserve him. He's Palin with a bad comb-over and bad breath. He does not need facts or truth when he talks. Lies are good enough.

  6. 6

Could you stop using "inneresting"? It was funny the first couple of times months ago, but it has worn out its welcome!

  7. 7

    Bring it!!!!!

  8. 8

Maybe it's because he's calling Obama out.

  9. 9

Re: Average Jane – As opposed to Democrats who elected Obama and Jimmy Carter? They didn't have a clue how to handle the economy.

  10. 10

I swear to god if he becomes president I will move out of this country…

  11. 11

What do you expect from republicans
they are weak minded idiots who will believe anything they here.
Trump is a birther now(for some odd reason) and the repubes and teabaggers are all drooling at that like the little brainless retards that they are.
It also shows that the majority of republicans are racists and will do or say anything to discredit Obama

Oh umm perez we all know he wont make office, even republicans arent that dumb (atleast i hope)

  13. 13

This poll means nothing now. Not sure why it is even news worthy. But I would prefer him over Palin. The next election is looking horrible right now.

  14. 14

Re: holycrapitsallover69 – Hilariously said, and you're spot-on. I'm an independent, and would NEVER vote for Trump. He hasn't proven himself to be capable for the job, and his 'just take the oil' style of diplomacy, is likely to get every terrorist on the planet motivated to come after us.

  15. 15

Donald Trump, Mike Huckabee, Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, & Michelle Bachman? WOW! Besides Romney who the crazy Republican evangelical fucked up religious right will never elect because he's a mormon the rest are truly some of the most hateful disgusting clueless pieces of shit on the planet. What a laughing stock the Republican party has become.

  16. 16

donald trump or sarah palin. hm, could americans really be that stupid?

  17. 17

    ….Aaaaand Dems for the win!!

  18. 18

I guarantee he will win. He wins on almost every message board I've read, except perez.

  19. 19

Well, the country was stupid enough to elect a man whose only favorable was the color of his skin. I think Trump has more going for him than BO did. Show us your birth certificate BO. Why don't you just show it? If it's such a non-issue just SHOW IT!!!

  20. 20

Re: Average Jane – Reactionary?!! The only one who is reactionary is Barry Obama. Case in point: the oil spill and his pathetic response to it. The oil spill is going on and no Barry press conferences which is odd cuz he loves hearing himself speak. The public gets pissed and Barry has a press conference. Barry didn't visit the gulf. The public got pissed and within 2 days, Barry is walking on the beach investigating it. Everyone said Barry isn't angry enough then we get the quote "plug the damn hole." My favorite is when the public wanted BP to be punished and the next day we get Barry's infamous "so I know whose ass to kick." Obama could write the book on reactionary.

There's no way I believe a (CNN) poll that has Trump ahead of Ron Paul.
Preposterous. If that's how they're playing it, Paul should run Independent.

Re: Eldridge Cleaver – His response was identical to Bush's New Orleans response. Different pile, same old sh*t. Bush flew around New Orleans days later and looked around below without landing, and then flew off to have birthday cake with a crony.

  24. 24

At this point in time, he's quite useful.

  25. 25

Re: carinacarina – That shows that most people on this website are uneducated when it comes to voting for a President. People do not take the time to even know what Trump stands for and listen to what he says needs to be done with this country in order to turn it around. People just want to bash him because they are jealous of his success and prefer a President that is going to keep giving everybody hand outs.

  26. 26

If he becomes president, I will move out of the U.S!

  27. 27

The novelty of Trump is what Republicans like - because the man is telling it how it is, but when it comes down to it - they will not vote for him. I love it how Trump is getting everyone's panties in a bunch! LMAO.

  28. 28

    Wtf, America? Really?

'Do U think Donald Trump will continue to gain support?'
    Sure. Spanx really hold up.

  31. 31

Donald Trump has no political merit, and I can only hope the GOP realizes that and chooses a nominee with some substance. Obama isn't perfect, and Bush was a bit of a disaster; but I would readily and happily vote for Bush over Trump any day.

  32. 32

I think this is hilarious for many reasons, but the prime reasons are that this has got to be scaring the Sh*t out of our Jr. Senator in Chief, and it's got to be scaring the Sh*t out of the GOP machine because they hate it when people crash the party. We all know that candidates are chosen by the power brokers behind each party, they are the puppet masters and "you shall obey and pay homage", etc., etc., etc. Trump is NOT on anyone's dance card and he doesn't have to bow down to anyone it he chooses not to. High-larious!

  33. 33

I am a Republican and I would NEVER vote for this idiot. Most Republicans think the idea of Donald Trump representing our party is ridic! He's just popular because he's the weirdo of the bunch. No way in hell he has a chance

  34. 34

He seems like a guy who would go to war for something stupid.. like oil…. Sure I think he'll help the U.S with their money issues, but that's about it. I don't think he gives to rats behinds about 2nd class americans.

I'm always so shocked and blinded by The Donald's glow-in-the-dark teeth against his tan.

  36. 36

Re: disk_eyes – yeah u voted for someone who had only one year in the senate so who is the stupid one….

  37. 37

Re: Lady_Saccharine_Sweetness – I'm still trying to come up with the funds to leave because I said that same thing about Obama.

  38. 38

I dont see why this is so difficult for people to understand. Trump is probably more educated than any of the other candidates, and Im sure couldnt do any worse than others who have held the office of President.

  39. 39

I really hope people are not so stupid to think a non politician will make things right in America. Just look at what Arnold did to California! It's a MESS and Jerry Brown, a Dem, has to clean up the mess. Just like Barack has to clean up the mess 8 years of Bush mistakes. UGH!

  40. 40

Donald will not win but he brings up some issues that need to be dealt with seeing as Obama has failed our Country.

  41. 41

this country is the biggest joke. first arnold and now trump. people in this country are seriously dumb as fuck. the rest of the world is laughing at us.

  42. 42

Oh kay, so let me start this off by saying I am an "open minded" Republican…I believe strongly in the notion that your President is your President…and 80% of his decision making process is based on information the everyday American is not privlaged to…. Obama is very well spoken, has some great thoughts and ideas, and has charisma….however I feel that EVERY good leader of a country…MUST HAVE GREAT…not good….but GREAT BUSINESS SENSE!…our country right now is a "failing business"…Trump DOES know how to deal with a Failing business…NOW, am I saying I am going to go out and vote for him….??? NO! BUT he brings up issues in a very "matter of fact way….that; lets face it….we all question every day.

  43. 43

The key is BALANCE…WE DONT have ANY. For example: I'm a Christian, but do not believe in telling people how to run their lives…what to believe…who to believe or who they can or can not marry….THATS NOT MY JOB….I would love for everyone in the world to be able to have a good meal on their table every night , a warm place to sleep and gifts under their Christmas tree for their children….but not at the expense of individuals who put in 60 hr work weeks…while othes refuse to stand in a 2 hr line at a job fair. I believe the government should regulate and help, but not hand over and demand….I agree with Trump, that OUR country comes FIRST….If we can't stnd up on our two feet…how can we help anyone else stand up on theirs? (we both fall down) EVERYTHING IS @$$ backwards.

  44. 44

My husband and I have gone through our fair share of losses. We have LOST IT ALL…(jobs, money, house, loved ones…and I even suffer from an illness that impares me to work a regular job)….however…I DO work a regular job…we have never once applied for any kind of government assistance….(although we would qualify) because we DO NOT BELIEVE anyone owes us ANYTHING. Although we are far better off than we have been…it has been VERY HARD work, and will continue to be…as we move to better our life. I as an American take pride in WE DID it…that's what this country is about…

  45. 45

My point in all of this is, DEM and REP both have something great….passion….they also have the BIGGEST answer right at their finger tips…STOP PLAYING POLITICS and START RUNNING THIS COUNTRY! ….stop "calling eachother out"…and start "calling eachother in"…Make logical, educated decisions…prioritize…Care, but don't get "walked all over"… Perez, I go on your site EVERY DAY at work…NO JOKE: I watch Fox news in the morning, Read My PEREZ, Read Huffington Post…go home after work, watch CNN then NBC…Read my paper, Read my Bible, then finnish off my night with a little ABC. I know that sounds like one BIG Contradiction….but let me tell you, at the end of my day I feel well informed, well balanced, and like our country should be: WELL ROUNDED.

  46. 46

I think Trump is exactly what this contry needs………. And i would love to hear those words " OBAMA>> YOUR FIRED!!!!!

  47. 47

    Anyone is better than obama.
