Ha! Straight outta Compton, indeed!

Apparently, we've somehow slithered into some freakish, WASPy Twilight Zone-esque subreality, because Jay-Z has actually launched his own 'lifestyle' website, called LifeandTimes.com, and naturally, the only true way to properly be inducted into the 'Rich and Famous People Congratulating Themselves On Being Rich and Famous Via Lifestyle Website' club is to be interviewed by the GOOP queen herself, Gwyneth Paltrow!

And yes, that is exactly what happened. And it's just as horrifying and pretentious AMAZING as we could have dreamed!

Here are some ACTUAL HIGHlights:

Jay-Z:

I started working on it in its various incarnations over a year ago. I've thought about it forever. You know how it works, seeing other sites and being either inspired or saying, 'That's shit. I would do it like … '"

Gwyneth:

As someone who has walked through museums with you, eaten with you, heard music with you, I know firsthand how creativity in all areas lifts your consciousness. Do you feel that as a cultural figure of importance it is part of your responsibility to share what inspires you?

Jay-Z:

I think it's every human's job to inspire others, to feed one another's senses. Inspiration begets inspiration times infinity. Imagine if the person that was inspired to create the phonograph didn't share it with the world.

Yeah. Wow.

You'd think that such talented and creative people would be a little more aware of how blatantly and pretentiously their stroking each other's egos for the rest of the peasants world to see!

We know, we know! We must be faaaar too plebeian to understand the intricacies and self-realized wisdom that permeates our laptop screens everytime we click to GOOP - and now, LifeandTimes!

Thank goodness we all have them in our lives to truly TEACH us how it means to live! LOLz!

We're messing around, guys! But seriously - this is all waaaay a little too smug!

You're both great, you don't need to jerk each other's egos off any more!

She is so nauseating and annoying! She is just so perfect! Perfect life. Perfect family. Perfect marriage. Perfect hair. Perfect. Jay Z has totally lost it hanging out with the likes of her. God I hope Beyonce stays away from her…

FINALLY Perez says something somewhat reminiscent of his "old" persona, and something I can agree with! Pretentious is the perfect word for these people.

BWAH HAH HAHA! That cracked me up! I love when people don't realize they have their heads up their own arses, too!

Ughh I don't like either of them.

Yet you linked his web site, aiding in the perpetuity. Ah, well, that's the web. Media figures are also looking for control and monopolization of their brand away from sometimes tricky other journalists, so this is also one way to do that. The information comes right from the horse's mouth this way. On the other hand, objectivity will take a biiiiig fall. They all promote each other and scratch each other's back. Case in point, Gwynnie and Beyonce are pals, hence more intergoop.

These two waste-by-products get high huffing each others ass fumes.

He needs to use his time to promote his artists on his label I'm interested in some of them and it's going very slow over there

Are you serious? You're always hyping yourself up and hyping off Gaga and a bunch of other dorks here. There's nothing there but wisdom from people who are actually accomplished AND talented. (Not saying Gaga isn't, you on the other hand are just semi-witty but I wouldn't call that talent)

don't really care about what either of them has to say

I think the idea is to inspire people to want to be successful in the form of wealth. What they may not understand is not everyone bases their success on money. Some people base it on if they are doing what they love.

I actually miss when you were "cutthroat." Here your critique was actually astute for once re: the blatant differences between the haves and the have-nots. Here Jay Z proves his disconnect from his roots and it's disheartening that he recognizes the co-option of hip hop culture in his biography, yet accepts one of the most unapologetic bourgeois white celebrity figures to interview him and not critique the statement of "cultural figure of importance." End of interview. Considering he willingly performed for Gaddafi's son without a second thought is telling of the significance of a cultural figure. I.e. the culture of celebrity.

Perez why retract your statements by following them with a "just kidding" or "lolz"? Learn to follow the critique through–you don't always have to be nice. Pacifism is not thought provoking nor the site for social change. If this is your new platform, it only aids the celebrity bullshit machine. Call them on their shit and stick with it.

She and he have just become two arrogant douchebags that have no sense of reality, especially her.
She really thinks that she is the sh!t.
I used to be a Jay Z fan, but that is fading fast.
