Bradley Cooper In Talks To Star In The Crow Reboot

Does anyone else think this is a HORRIBLE idea???

There's a remake of The Crow in the works (strike 1) and word is that Bradley Cooper is in negotiations to star as the lead (strike 2).

We have nothing against Bradley taking the role, don't misunderstand. We think he would be great. It's just…we can't help but feel like it's a little insensitive to remake this movie when the original's star was shot and killed DURING a production.

Too soon. WAY too soon.

Besides, this is a cult classic kind of film. You can never remake a film that has that kind of devoted following.

Right? Thoughts?

agreed. has hollywood heard of originality?

Hollywood really needs to pull it's head out of it's ass, and stop remaking films that don't need to be remade. For that matter, it needs to stop this trend of being too lazy to write an original f-ing story and just remaking older films altogether. If the pool of writers in Hollywood is so God damned piss-poor that they can't come up with any original ideas, then they need to go find another job. Go work at McDonalds or something and bring in some new blood. About 4 out of every 5 movies these days are remakes. It's ridiculous. Hollywood is pathetic.
Leave "The Crow" alone. It's sacred territory.

  3. 3

Yeah leave this movie alone. The sequels disgraced the original enough, we don't need this too.

  4. 4

but in 96 they made a sequel with a new actor…so it wouldn't be the biggest deal to remake the franchise anyways.

i think bradley's career is going so well that he doesn't need this.
what hey should do is remake a crappy old movie, instead of trying to redo excellent movies like "the crow". i don't think russell brand helped his career at all by trying to remake the brilliantly done original "arthur". the 'arthur' remake was terrible in comparision to the original, and it makes brand look bad too.

What is with all the remakes?? I don't get it! The Crow isn't even very old and besides Brandon Lee died making that movie, God, give it another 20 yrs before you decide to remake it!
OH, and The Crow 2, total flop, they should leave well enough alone! Nightmare on Elm Street remake, flop. Sequels and remakes, not so great Hollywood!

  7. 7

No. First, there was speculation about Mark Wahlberg, now Bradley Cooper? Seriously, leave that movie alone. The original film is good enough. We don't need a bad remake. Hollywood is really reaching an all time low.

i am not for this at all, but i fail to understand how that would be "insensitive".
the movie was made 15 years ago.
brandon lee's death was a freak accident, tragic, but an accident none the less.
i think the real problem here is picking bradley cooper to do it.
i really dislike his acting, it's mediocre at best.
why can't hollywood just come up with original concepts for movies? what are these people paid millions for?

YOU ARE SO F-N RIGHT AIMEEBEE!!!!!! I am disgusted by hollywood and all these re-makes. i cant believe they would disgrace brandon lee's memory like that. plus, it is impossible to make that movie better!
    U SUCK HOLLYWOOD "WRITERS"

If it's about a hollywood actor in the closet he's perfect for it.

  11. 11

as there were already 3 increasingly unwatchable sequels I think this franchise has been played out.

  12. 12

    To old for the role.

  13. 13

I don't know what people see in this guy..he is not cute, he is not a good actor, and he just ISN'T anything worth screaming about..period..what nasty slab of walking meat.

  14. 14

I'll watch anything with Bradley Cooper in it. :D

Bradley would be smart not too remake this film. It's like George Clooney playing Batman. Good actor and good franchises does not equal stellar success. this is probably gossip because of all that super hero movie trend. just like suckerPunch it won't do that good. ti would need alto fo hype financial back up and a massive million dollar campaign and not alpha male frat captain Cooper. Instead an unknown exotic looking actor. I hope Bradley's people talk him out of this completely.

  16. 16

    fuck off hollywood!

  17. 17

I don't get how you can disagree with re-makes but support Glee and Idol? Personally I hate it all

It's funny how people are always complaining about everything. Yes we have a right to have and express our feelings, but why complain about movie remakes. The solution is simply, just don't go see it.

As an artist, I love to see anything artistic, even the bad ones…because I see the beauty in all things, at least I can spot some of the good in the bad and trust me there are a lot of bad movies out there, even the ones in their original form. What I don't like are how trailers are made…because marketers often cut the trailers in a way to make you think the movie is one way, but when you go see it a lot of the scenes from the trailer are cut and the story isn't at all how the movie is.

IMO, remake movies, just make sure to advertize the truth, that's what needs to improve. Cult classics will remain that cult classics and no remake can take that away.
