Caius Jamie Campbell Bower Says Being Engaged Is "Wonderful"

Aw! We're happy for him and Ginny Weasley Bonnie Wright. (Even if we still maintain that she's too young!)

A lot is going on these days for Jamie Campbell Bower. Along with starring in the last installments of The Twilight Saga and Harry Potter franchise flicks, he's got a brand new show on STARZ called Camelot, in which he plays King Arthur.

And, oh yeah, he's planning a wedding!

Though the pair have stayed tight-lipped about their engagement, Jamie admitted in a recent interview that he is engaged to his Harry Potter costar and they are having a "wonderful, wonderful" time together. When asked if they've started planning for the big day, Jamie admitted that they have, but wouldn't provide any further details…like when or where or how.

Sneaky, sneaky…though we totally understand. So many Potter and Twilight stars on one guest list - we'd want to keep a tight lid on that event too, to keep the rabid fans from camping out for weeks outside the church just to get a glimpse of their favorite vamps and wizards.

We think the first order of business in planning this wedding is getting some serious security details!

Not all young people are complete morons, Perez. If they want to get married and are ready for that responsibility, then good for them. I was 20 when I met my husband. We were engaged the next year. I got married when I was 24 and have been married for 9 years. It has its ups and downs, but if you are willing to make it work, then it will. I really hope that this what they want and that they make it work. Marriage is more than playing house, and I think that's where some people make their mistake. It's a lot of work and compromise.

Why would she be too young? She is 20 years old and will most likely be close to 21 when she weds. Its not like shes 16 or that she hasn't experienced the world yet. I was a few months shy of 21 when I wed, 7 years as of Sunday we are still happy as can be. Why should everyone hold off until they are 30 or 40 to wed? Why do you think we have the higher rate of infertility? One of the factors is the advanced age, childbearing years are 20-30, not 35-45.

For someone who doesn't want people judging your opinions on marriage, that's pretty hypocritical to say that they're way too young to get married. My mom got married to my dad when she was 19 and they've been happily married for 44 years.

I think people see her as so young because she plays a character that is young in the movies. She is an adult and has a right to get married if she wants to.

As many have stated- yes, she's 20 and of legal age to marry. I find a little bit of hypocrisy in your judgement of her decision to marry- especially since you do fight for the right for gay couples to marry. How can you promote one and not the other? I think that any two adults who have found love should be able to marry without commentary from the media on their age or sexual orientation.

    Who are these people?

British kids grow up a little more quickly than american ones. In America you all seem to stay in education until at least 21, not allowed to drink til 21, legally a child til 18. When I was 16 I was living by myself, my mother was married at 20, my little sister is 19 and about to buy her own flat, having worked since she was 15. We'r not afraid of responsibility or commitment. Americans still seem to be trying to decide what to do with their lives well into their 30's.

These 2 are just such a perfect couple. I mean, not all young people are idiots. Plus, they're British, which I feel like somehow makes them more mature.

The critics agree - Eva Green and James Purefoy are well cast and steal the (crappy) show. This guy's casting as a young King Arthur was a huge mistake..

I would think it's wonderful too if I had that hottie in my arm

He is a little cutie and I'm enjoying his role as King Arthur on Camelot.

OMG what is this site coming to? reporting on a hetrosexual couple?!?!? Next thing we know you'll be reporting unbiasedly on all female pop singers.

I LOVe THIS!!! it's like there pulling each saga together!!

Perez, you're a jealous asshole. Too young? I got married at 18 and now years down the road, we're still married and yes we've had problems just like any other couple. I know a lot of people who settled down young and are still together years and years later, compared to our divorced friends who waited until their 30's to get married. Not everyone starts living their life at 18 and can't settle down. She's had to grow up real fast, she is more an adult than most people her age. So back off of that whole 'too young'. No one hates hearing that more, when they're happy.
    ………………

    ……………………………………….
I took those people out of my life that had no constructive marriage advice, but instead said "ohhh…………..you're too young". They are long and gone and you know what I'm real happy. I don't deal with negative shit like that and people who cant support me, specially when it's really none of their business anyways.
It's someone's business WHEN they want to get married, and it doesn't matter if your 18, average age of marriage is like what… 27 now? Maybe 25? People are STILL getting divorced all the time, it hasn't improved. It has nothing to do with age, it has to do with maturity and respect. People are raised to be spoiled little shits now, no wonder they just up and leave when things get a little rough in their marriages. I dont associate with many people anymore because people are ignorant. Use some fucking common sense and give the girl credit for WANTING to settle down and not sleaze around. Fucking dick!

  17. 17

awwww. so cute. I remember her during the 1st Harry Potter. lovely.

  18. 18

Who and who?. Got no idea. Sorry , I guess I dont like to watch trashy teen movies.

  19. 19

I don't think they're too young, but it seriously sounds like they haven't been together long enough at all.

I worry about how many people are jumping into marriage and engagement so soon. They can't have been together for even a year. I have a friend that is engaged after only four months! People, slow down! If it's true love the feeling won't change.

  20. 20

actually they have been together for over a year and they're not in trashy teen movies. learn your facts before you speak. they're perfect for each other.

  21. 21

OH MY GOD!! That was shocking! I think she's too young…she's the first and youngest of the Harry Potter stars to get engaged… :|

  22. 22

I think part of the 'she's too young' comes from the fact she looks younger than she is and that she plays a character younger than her but to be honest she's 20 and she's an adult.
