Miley's Rose Will Only Bloom Down Under, No U.S. Release Of Bret Michaels' Cover

| Filed under: Music MinuteAustraliasticMiley CyrusBret Michaels

Inneresting. It's not like we haven't already heard it, mind you, but we wonder why they decided to release the song so limitedly.

As we previously reported, the embargo on the controversial Miley Cyrus cover of Bret Michaels' (aka the guy that allegedly had an affair with her momma) song, Every Rose Has Its Thorns, has been lifted and is set to make its radio release this month. Thing is, according to her reps, the song will only be released Australia in conjunction with her Gypsy Heart tour. It will NOT be released in the states.

Huh. What gives? The scandal is over, Miles doesn't have anything else getting airplay over here - so why the hell not?

Color us a bit confused!

Well I live in the USA and I still love Miley lots. I really do not care what anyone else thinks. Her version of this song is done quite well and I do not understand why it will not be released here. And for the person that said DJs do not play he here have CLEARLY never been to a club in DC, Baltimore, or Philly. All 3 have DJs that play here.

Perez Hilton, once again you get the story wrong. It wasn't Miley Cyrus's reps who said the song will only be released in Australia, it was Disney's Hollywood Records' reps who said that, and it was Hollywood Records, not Miley Cyrus, who made that decision–actually, Disney Records is Hollywood Records' distributor in Australia and the single will be put out there under that label. The fact is that Hollywood Records is clearly attempting to control Miley Cyrus' behavior by sabotaging her last album's sales in the US market, which everyone knows is the biggest market for music. Disney and Hollywood Records obviously didn't like the shots Miley took at Disney executives in the lyrics of her last album and decided to sabotage sales, even though they lose money by doing so. I hope Miley Cyrus gets herself a new contract with another record company soon, even if she has to buy her way out of her contract with Hollywood Records, because that Disney/ABC owned company is obviously doing everything it can to destroy Miley's music career. These idiot suits at Disney/ABC should stop trampling on the artistic freedom of the artists signed to their recording companies. Some of us see right through their behind the scenes games.

Miley Cyrus is just mad because nobody wants their child to be listening to a girl who lives a double life. One side shes a good kid, then goes out partying. This is the worst image a teenage girl can get. She's just showing U.S. how much she really cares about us with not coming here and doing the tour. Shes making it worse on herself. The only reason she does not want to come to the U.S is because she knows people dont like her and does not want to her rude things about her.
