Oprah's OWN Has Grown And Looks To Continue

Oprah Winfrey Number 1 Soon

After its first quarter on the air, Christina Norman, CEO of the OWN network, says Oprah Winfrey's personal cable network had a "good" debut.

In fact, after growing their primetime ratings by 32% since the launch, plus more shows on the way starring Rosie O'Donnell and Shania Twain, Christina Norman suggests the network is just getting ready to own television, saying:

"It's 13 weeks in. If anybody wants to write the story now about what it means and where it is, that's a little premature, and we are trying to stick to our knitting and keep our goals in mind and keep looking forward."

She's not worried about sponsorship either considering OWN has Walmart, Kohls, GM, and Target lining up to advertise, insisting:

"People believe in this brand, they believe in what we are doing and they believe now is the time to do it."

Christina also revealed Oprah's Twitter account has grown with OWN and assures any doubters out there that, "It's really her. It's actually really her."

For all the Oprah fans out there getting tired of just hearing from the media mogul over the internet, prepare yourselves for this bit of info that the CEO shared:

"In September, she will be on the network. And she has been on the network with Behind the Scenes. But new stuff is coming with her in September."

That alone should solidify the network's success!

Are U excited to see Oprah return to television this September?

this is stupid because a ceo of a network is never going to say that they are doing bad, even if they are. they will lie and say that everything is all peachy. dont know or care if own is doing good or bad but u will never hear the truth from a ceo if it is, in fact ,doing bad.

Oprah, can you take the "the chew" and that other new show that abc is doing and put it on your network. Please? Please? What am I going to do with out my daily dose of Tad or Blair or Amanda or Dorian or David(Hayward) or David(Vickers)?
