Boy, that maitre'd is never going to live this down.
On Sunday evening, Prince William was out with his boys from his Royal Air Force squadron and decided he wanted to take the lot out for a bite to eat at a local Northern Wales eatery called the Seacroft Restaurant. They tried to call and make a reservation, but when they named dropped Kate Middleton's soon-to-be husband, the place thought they were being punked.
So the gang just decided to show up! As you can imagine, that went over real well!
As it turns out, the group of twenty were still turned away when they arrived with their royal leader in tow, as one of the restaurant's chefs was out sick and they just didn't have the man power or the space to seat them. Despite being sent on his way, Prince William took the snub in stride and the group simply headed to another restaurant to eat.
A very diplomatic move.
Too bad, Seacroft! No doubt being able to say that the future King of England ate are you joint would have done wonders for business!
