Those Damn, Dirty Apes Are Back! Check Out The Preview For Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes

| Filed under: Film FlickersJames FrancoTom Felton

We guess they gave it a last-minute name change!

Check out the just-released new trailer for the new prequel to Planet of the Apes, now titled Rise of the Planet of the Apes (above), starring James Franco, Freida Pinto, and Tom Felton (above)!

As we've reported, this one's an origin story as to how the now iconic monkeys came to be as smart as civilized as we've seen them in the original flicks, and we've got to say, this looks VERY well done!

The CGI alone is pretty epic! We're impressed!

Here's hoping that the story and acting is just as good! We wouldn't want this to bomb!

What do U think?? Will U go see Rise of the Planet of the Apes?

They can remake these all they want but none will ever compare to the original Planet of the Apes with Charlton Heston.

Ok you have got to edit that paragraph above - it was obviously not reread before it was posted and it is difficult to read.

  3. 3

Why do people keep remaking this? The original concept is ridiculous and all the movies are ridiculous!

I actually do kind of want to see this. Mostly for Tom Felton, but it also does seem kind of cool as far as effects go. I mean, I've only ever seen the first Plant of the Apes with Charlton Heston and I wouldn't say it's the greatest movie, but I'm still looking forward to it.

OK. This I will see. It looks good. It seems to have a plot, sort of, and it looks kind of smart for a change, instead of the special affects mess that they usually feed us in the summer. So yeah.I'll watch this.

To be honest the movie on it's own, I would see but of course that's because I hate the original Planet of the Apes, I think it is a horribly boring movie.

but, I will see this because Tom Felton is in it and I adore him, and have been wanting to see him in a different role for quite some time

I cannot stand James Franco, but it looks good!

    Tom Felton?? really?

Re: giabread – ummmm is it supposed to be realistic as opposed to ridiculous? the original is a classic

I forced myself to watch the preview……..and I actually like it. I don't know how it will compare with the original with Heston but it looks entertaining. I loved Heston in Planet of the Apes, Airport 75 and Earthquake.

hmmm…okay i commented before i actually saw the preview and wtf? is it like a horror monkey movie?

  12. 12

I once had a nightmare just like the scenes in this movie, big apes were chasing me and my dad in our street. This movie looks really god, I wanna see it.

  13. 13

It's a prequel morons, not a remake. Can't wait to see this!

  14. 14

This concept has been done before..Man's Best Friend and other movies. So unoriginal

  15. 15

So happy Tom Felton is doing more acting! But could the title be any longer?

  16. 16

Does anyone else feel their is a racist connotation in his article's title? LMAO!!!! AHAHAHA!! LOVE U PEREZ-ZEZZI!!!!

Re: imgoingtobeGFF – You're an idiot, that line in the title is FROM the original movie, as said by Charlton Heston's character. Nothing racist about it at all. Get off of Youtube for once and actually WATCH a movie. Also, this is a PREQUEL people, it hasn't been made before, so stop bitching about how it's not going to be the original.

Re: HeatherIsOnFire – Look at he title and watch the original: How the hell do you think the apes came to rule over the Earth?!
