I love her. Jar of hearts is one of my favorite songs and arms is pretty good too. Maybe her voice isn't the strongest, but i still like it. I love accoustic performances.

She'll just get lost in the deluge of artists desperate to make it big. She only got a record deal b/c her friend some rockette dancer in NY gave her single Jar of Hearts to SYTYCD. She'll need a day job in 3-2-…

Not bad. The only downside I see is that she associates with you Perez.

I hate Jar of Hearts! Song sounds like it was written by a twelve year old with a heartbreak. :/ So awkward!

Uhm.. doesn't everyone start off somewhere? How does where she started off have anything to do with how good of an artist she'll be? Most importantly, after that SYTYCD performance, a million copies of her song were sold. She was just a waitress, and she became famous literally overnight. You don't gain that type of recognition without having a unique talent. Plus, I don't think anyone can take your judgements seriously. She has two singles out, one of which is hugely popular, and she hasn't even released her CD yet, so what are you basing this judgement on? One song?

Also… she wasn't "desperate to make it big." Like you said.. her friend.. not her.. put her song on SYTYCD. Her friend… Keltie Colleen, promoted her and really pushed her to move out to LA and become a singer, etc. I see no desperateness there.

I'm happy to see a real artist/musician who doesn't need auto tune and ACTUALLY has talent, and writes her own music, make it big right now.

Re: My black circumcised baby! – I don't think that's true. She seems to be a very down to earth person that's just happy her dream is coming true. And dancing with the Stars is NOT the only reason she became famous. She had been working with managers for a long time before that.

    excuse me *SYTYCD* LOL

3 months ago this girl was waiting tables. She's been singing for years and has been given the break that 100's of thousands of musicians can only dream of. I'm a huge fan and will see her in Boston 4/20/11, even though she's opening for James Blunt (not a huge fan of the kid)…but that's not the point, who cares.

The point being, she's been given the opportunity of a lifetime and she has the raw talent to back it up. I hope she runs with it and becomes the modern day equivalent of Janis Joplin (minus the trivial dying too young aspect).

ps…if you ever need a guitarist…jesus christ please let me know. :)

    Good luck Girl!

dont talk crap about her unless you know who she is and how she got there. she wasn't "given" her single by anyone, especially not keltie (that "rockette dancer in new york"). shes a genuine person and shes incredibly sweet. she's one of the few "big" artists out there right now that actually has a voice that is good.
she isnt were she is because of it being given to her, sytycd helped her, yes. that is what made her big but she wasnt desperate. she wanted it yes, but obviously she has the talent to stay in the business if she got popular from a performance where her name wasnt even mentioned.
i also hope, perez, that a few months from now she wont be one of those artists that you begin trashing and making fun of.
