In one hell of a role!!!
It was announced this afternoon that Samuel L. Jackson will be making his Broadway debut this October in the new Broadway production, The Mountaintop, by Katori Hall. Samuel will be stepping into the shoes of the legendary Dr. Martin Lurther King as the show explores Dr. King's last moments before his assassination.
It was rumored that Halle Berry was to play the role of Camae, a mysterious maid at the Lorraine Motel, the setting of the play, but the producers have confirmed that due to her "child custody issues," they've had to go in another direction.
Congrats on the honor, Samuel. It's a big role for your first time out, but if anyone can handle it, it's you! Good luck!
