Blink-182 has announced on their website on Monday that they have re-scheduled their European summer tour for next summer in order to finish the album.
Through a statement on their website, the band wrote:
"It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce our planned 2011 European summer tour has been rescheduled. When we booked the tour last year, we were confident that we would have the new album out before the summer. Turns out we were mistaken as the album is taking longer than we thought and won't be out till later this year."
While that sucks for Europe, we're sure plenty of Blink-182 fans are happy to hear that the band is finally finishing this long-awaited album and can listen to it "later this year"!
With no new songs to add to the set list, the band continued to say:
"Rather than do another 'greatest hits tour' which you all saw last summer. The three of us are working very hard to do what we set out to do when we re-formed, get a new Blink-182 album recorded."
We think they are making a smart move and hopefully their new material will be worth the wait for their European fans!
However, we doubt ANY fans will be very happy if there isn't a new album by this time next year, so get that album out boys!
Are U excited for Blink's new album?
