Glenn Beck Leaving NY, Developing New "Research Department"

glenn beck leaving ny and starting research department

We're not sure exactly how we feel about this…

Earlier this month, we learned that the ever-polarizing Glenn Beck would be phasing out his show on Fox and stepping down as host.

Now, Glenn Beck has announced that he'll be leaving New York, moving out of his Connecticut mansion, and developing a new "research department" with retired CIA and military.

Here's what he had to say about it:

“What you are about to see in a few months is a new way to communicate with each other. [I'm going to] build a way to deliver news directly to the youth of America.”

"I will be leaving New York City. As we build a new media I’m not building it in New York."

We are very skeptical about this, as we're sure is the case with plenty of you out there.

…Maybe we were better off when he was preaching to the world from Fox. Guess we'll find out soon…

What do U think about Glenn Beck's cryptic announcement?

I'm just guessing here, but I bet Perez you have NEVER even watched a whole episode of Glenn Beck's show. A lot of his show is based on education of the U.S. Constitution and what our forefathers meant. A lot of his show educates; for example: on the blacks that fought in the civil war, on the women of that time, not to mention on Bill Aryes, a US terrorist and George Soros, someone not from here, and trying to bring a European form of government here.. This is going to be a fun political season coming up with your posts cause they're so uneducated when it comes to politics and America….

    I. Don't. Care.

Beck's a damn Mason pawn that does what he's told by the Global Elite families to control the masses.

I am not sure if he is good or bad but he is a passionate speaker and was getting into trouble, I am not a fan of his even though I know that he does give positive information, he also gives crazy info and he is always getting busted for it, wasn't he addicted to pain killers also? it's just the way it goes for people, you start to be more open and your called a loose cannon. I LOVE BILL MAHER!

    Glad he's leaving Connecticut!!!

Scary he wants to communicate to our youth. Will keep the two youth I'm responsible for away from that. What will he call his youth followers? The Beck Youth? Hope they don't get confused with the Hitler Youth.

Glad you used your Constitutional right of free speech to provide me with a hearty LOL today!

Re: cap chick – Cap Chick, you are completely right! I love Glen Beck and when I have time to watch his show I always come away more informed of our history. He believes we should find the truth for ourselves, which is sadly not what most people. Especially when it comes to politics.

Re: FiveStarFreddie – His PAST addictions are irrelevent. I am a former heroin addict. Key word is FORMER and if anything it makes me a better person, mother and wife. There is no need to even mention that.

  10. 10

I'm not a fan but he pisses off a bunch of people, so there must be some truth to what he says.

Re: cap chick – previous comment got messed up — this was supposed to be a reply:

Re: so what – yep you are right…much better for our youth to get their history and politics from SNL, Comedy Central or even worse MSNBC. the good news is eventually all mis-informed liberals usually see the light as they grow up.

As an independent, I watch Beck because he uses facts and videos that prove his points. Those who speak against Beck have not watched his show. Try watching!

perez dnt u hve an ass to lick or something? stfu w politics already. you dont sound as smart as u may think.

I'm glad he's leaving NYC - I despise the man. He only divides the country with this bigoted speeches and opinions. Go far old man! Another country would be nice…

Re: buck – To perhaps nobody's surprise, a study released this week finds that Fox News viewers are the most misinformed of any news consumers.

The University of Maryland study, called "Misinformation and the 2010 Election," looked at "variations in misinformation by exposure to news sources," among other things, and specifically newspapers and news magazines (in print and online), network TV news broadcasts, NPR and PBS, Fox News, MSNBC, and CNN.

The study found that daily Fox News viewers, regardless of political party, were "significantly" more likely than non-viewers to erroneously believe that:

-Most economists estimate the stimulus caused job losses (12 points more likely)

-Most economists have estimated the health care law will worsen the deficit (31 points)

-The economy is getting worse (26 points)

-Most scientists do not agree that climate change is occurring (30 points)

-The stimulus legislation did not include any tax cuts (14 points)

-Their own income taxes have gone up (14 points)

-The auto bailout only occurred under Obama (13 points)

-When TARP came up for a vote most Republicans opposed it (12 points)

-And that it is not clear that Obama was born in the United States (31 points)

-The study also found that as exposure to Fox News increased, so did the misinformation.

Re: buck – But Fox News wasn't the only offender:

-Daily consumers of MSNBC and public broadcasting (NPR and PBS) were higher (34 points and 25 points respectively) in believing that it was proven that the US Chamber of Commerce was spending money raised from foreign sources to support Republican candidates.

-Daily watchers of network TV news broadcasts were 12 points higher in believing that TARP was signed into law by President Obama, and 11 points higher in believing that most Republicans oppose TARP.

Re: cap chick – Anybody that gets an education from Glenn Beck is a fucktard. The guy is a total psycho

  19. 19

    Research… NOW THAT'S FUNNY!!

  20. 20

    Re: cap chick
I've seen his "show" and it doesn't surprise me when one of his viewers considers what he does as educating… no wonder we're in the state we're all in. Good Job Cap Chick! :(

Re: cap chickRe: cap chick – Thank you Cap Chick. You are right on all your facts. Bill Ayers and George Soros are two people that everyone needs to learn more about by doing their own research.

  22. 22

Every time I turn on Fox News, I just get mad because they express opinions and not facts, and it is so one-sided (extremist conservative republicans). I only watch CNN for my news. It is much more balanced and fair to everyone.

You go, "Sonicdahedgehog"!!! I could not agree more!

Re: so what – Research this survey and you will see that it is a flawed biased survey. But just google the actual study and you will see that it is inaccurate. Maybe they are right - but the study is flawed.

Beck's recently aired 'discoveries' are actually stories and pieces of stories that have been free floating around the net ether for a few years now; but he has acted as though the stories are new to him, which they probably were. The sheer magnitude and totality of this information appeared to have him all over the place, so these disciplined and analytical retired ops personnel will no doubt aid him immeasurably in his scattered approach to the info, and the pragmatism these trained people will bring him will help him to focus and clarify the information as they bring it together and look at it from all angles.
As far as bringing it to the youth of America, the youth already have it all, from all over the place, but are not experienced at interpretation as they're youth. I'm not sure what he means by that initiative, but time will tell.

  25. 25

Wow. Mr. Beck you are rich, now can you please go away.

    Re: bre_faz

    A couple things,

    1. cap chick, I agree
    2. Directed towards bre_fax: Yes, FOX News is more geared towards the right, but can you give me one other mainstream channel, radio station, network, ANYTHING besides FOX news affiliates that express any other views besides liberal agenda? Nope. FOX News, THANKFULLY makes up for the rest of the left media. The problem is that media is so biased, mass media is broadcasted to you by six major corporations, who decide what you see on your TVs, Newspapers, Radio Stations, and even have a large influence on the internet. When everything is so one sided, of course the one most successful "rogue" station is going to seem radical.
    3. I've had the chance to meet Glenn Beck and I have appeared on a taping of his show. Yes, it is scripted, but he doesn't read straight off the teleprompter. And no, I am not speaking about an instance in which he is flying off the handle or getting very emotional in delivering the objective message, which does happen. I had the chance to speak with him one on one, as well as directly on TV. He is an extremely intelligent and genuine person.
    4. While I am disappointed his show will be discontinued, I am very pleased that he will be conducting DIRECT research and delivering the results to the youth, as they are the ones who are truly being corrupted through the heavily biased education system and media.

If Gaga said she was doing this you would tell us its the greatest fuking idea ever. Glen Beck can do whatever it wants because its his life.

  28. 28

He should eat shit and die.
