As it such, he remains unfazed by the amount of verbal diaherra the novelist has been spewing in the direction of his show as of late.

On Friday night, Matthew Morrison attended the UCLA's Jonsson Cancer Center Foundation "Taste for a Cure" gala and was asked to comment on author Bret Easton Ellis' recent disgraceful tweets comparing Glee to a "puddle of HIV." Matthew's reply:

"Who's that?"

Well, Matty. Bret is the author of such notable works as American Pyscho and Rules of Attraction - but you probably already know that as we gather your question was sarcastic and an attempt to throw shade right back at the graceless writer.

Matthew then added:

"You know what? That means the show is good if people have not nice things to say—and amazing things to say. It keeps people talking, you know? That's going to be a part of the show."

Well said! The power of positive thinking is always the way to go.

Can't say we think that will work in reverse for Bret, though!

Bret Easton prays on young boys! He has introduced many of them to hard core drugs!
    he is a total mess!

What's all the hate towards Glee? It's JUST A TV SHOW! It's not bloody Shakespeare or brain surgery or the search for world peace. If all you have going for in your life is shitting on Glee, WOW! Wake-up call to re-evaluate!

Glee sucks and America is tired of this homosexual indoctrination.

Can everyone just relax on this? He is Bret Easton Ellis, yes he made an off colour remark about HIV but that dosen't change the fact that 1.) He is an amazing author and 2.) not EVERYONE has to like f*****g Glee. That's what all of this is about. A unicorn didn't fly across the sky, take a shit, and created Glee that was perfect from inception and the most pivotal piece of pop-culture to date.
Anyone who says he's a crap author probably thinks Nicholas Sparks is a great American Novelist. I read the Notebook, and honestly It made me want to vomit even more than any given passage in American Psycho. To each their own. I laughed my ass off at Bret's tweet, I even re-tweeted it to my friends who found it just as humorous as I did. But we're all familiar with Ellis' body of work, so we got it, none of us found it offensive.
