Religious Leaders Continue To Speak Out Against GaGa's Judas Video WITHOUT Seeing It First!

| Filed under: Music MinuteSad SadLady GaGa

The uninformed hate continues!

Over the last couple of weeks, there's been outrage over the music video for GaGa's new song Judas (above), and it hasn't even been released yet!

Now, president of the Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights Bill Donohue has spoken out against Judas once again:

"This is a stunt…Lady Gaga tries to continue to shock Catholics and Christians in general: she dresses as a nun… she swallows the rosary. She has now morphed into a caricature of herself."

Thanks for the input, Bill.

As we said before, why don't you wait till the video comes out before going against GaGa like this? As of right now, all this hate is seriously unfounded.

Have U formed an opinion about GaGa's Judas music video yet? Or will U wait till it's released before doing so?

U make a song with a strong religious theme to it you should expect backlash. Bitch is getting what she wanted, controversy.

  2. 2

Gaga releases a new single, meanwhile in Europe a bishop just admitted to molesting his nephews… and which one is the catholic league more upset over?

  3. 3

More like and the GaGa posts continue. This is America, we do have freedom of speech Mario. He called her act a stunt and he's right, that's all she is. Typical angry little flop monster.

  4. 4

I think its partially a stunt now. This guy got publicity the first time so now he will keep doing it. On another note, those lyrics are nothing that I'd want my little sister singing along to off the radio (along with SandM for that matter..). I am not religious so I only know about the religious aspects of the song from what people say but it sounds bad. With our society today, its not even shocking. She could have went in a different direction for her songs than this.

  5. 5

They don't need to see the video, the song itself is offensive to Catholics and Christians. And knowing Gaga it will be shocking and offensive to them.

I personally like the song, but I'm not religious either.

  6. 6

Good lord you must be an idiot. This guy is clearly talking about the actual song, not the video. Have you actually read the lyrics? They are ridiculously offensive and for what? For shock value. I'm not a religious person but I can clearly see why people are upset over this. It's actually really sad because she's very talented but her bizare behaviour completely overshadows that. Oh, and the song itself is just pure dance/pop crap. Where's the art Gaga?

  7. 7

Its not 'HATE' as you say, Perez. Its Lady Gaga unnecessarily using religious symbolism in her songs and vids. AND FOR WHAT? Why is she doing it? What is she trying to 'gain' in doing this.
Its old hat, its been done already by Madonna; and more importantly, it is wrong, given her position as a highly influential voice. Have you seen the WEBSITE Vigilant Citizen? Google it. It is pretty powerful stuff. The truth? These artists sold their souls to Satan. Don't believe me? Look it up. Rihanna, Jay Z, Kanye, GAGA, they know what they are doing. You should too. Google: Vigilant Citizen. Gaga is bathed in illuminati symbolism.

  8. 8

Good the more hype we get, the more views we get :) I do thinks it's foolish that people are talking before they watch it. Gaga worked to make sure the song and video are not offensive. People need to relax because religious people will stay religious regardless of Lady Gaga.
P.S. the song is fucking amazing. I can't stop listening and dancing to it.

  9. 9

stfu perez…she's such an attention whore that it's not really about the music now..its about her getting the shock factor so her idiot "monsters" think she's hardcore…but in reality she's a fake wanna be madonna…SMH

  10. 10

Yeah no doubt that Gaga is eating up every second of this. She loves this kinda thing. If they really want her to go away, they won't feed her attention cravings.

  11. 11

perez i like you and all but when it comes to gaga you're so one sided! its just gagagagagagagaga.. u dont even look at any logic or any other opinion.. if it was lindsay lohan in an egg ud be like freak.. but gaga its 'art'

its annoying how u worship her and render her flawless

  12. 12

I like most of Gaga's music, and am not an overly religious person myself and even I find it offensive. It's not without merit, everyone remembers the Alejandro video and how offensive parts of that were. You can't say they're being hateful for defending their religion and something that's important to them, just like you defend Gaga because she is important to you. He's allowed to have an opinion.

  13. 13

I've never seen someone so desperate to piss off the Pope, is she trying to reach the same level of infamy as Madonna? Probably. But it's been done before. They're right, she's embarrassing herself by indulging in her own narcissistic desire for constant attention. You can be en vogue and edgy without having to provoke someone but she clearly doesn't know how, she just wants to look intellectual and free-thinking so desperately she's clinging to attention-seeking gambit many have already mastered. PATHETIC.

  14. 14

Dear Gaga, please make a songs that would offend the muslim world, please please ppretty please and see what kind of backlash you would get!!!

  15. 15

It will be filled with the usual love of Lucifer symbols.

  16. 16

Umm heard the song read the lyrics and got all my religious friends together and even the ones who hate Gaga to ask if they thought this was blasphemist and they all said no because its obvious its a METAPHOR. And people wonder why Americans are quite stupid that they can't even understand a simple metaphor. Judas represents betrayal someone that you really care about that does you wrong but you still love them anyway which really is what Jesus said: Love God with all your heart and love others the way you love yourself. If you don't like it, too bad you hypocrites.

  17. 17

It sounds like he is just making a general comment about Gaga herself. Not the Judas video. Idiot.

  18. 18

Judas - man in the Bible who betrays Jesus.
Lady Gaga sings a song about loving Judas with Biblical references.
Of course this can be viewed negatively by religious people. Why is a song like this created? For attention.

Perez people are allowed to stand up for their beliefs, not just you. Pull your head out of your azz and see that some people don't worship Lady Gaga and that's just fine.

  19. 19

    wonder what she'll do next
    marry sean penn
    join kabbalah
    star in "swept away"

  20. 20

Id like to see her write a song about Allah.

  21. 21

Re: qtoz23 – Yeah but I think she could have taken it a different way. She did not have to use religious figures. The reason that she did was for shock value. I see how some people get deep into religion and to them, it could be offensive because they look at certain figures as holy and making a song that compares a relationship to a holy figure might offend people. I am more offended about the literal lyrics being played on the radio

  22. 22

Yeah I assume it will suck just like everything else she dos.

  23. 23

I think he is talking about the song Perez not the video anyways I think the controversy is what she wanted right? I don't really care for the controversy though, I don't buy her music or watch her videos the only time I heard about her is when am on this site. I highly doubt the video will be tame tbh considering it's lady gaga. I don't understand why she's doing this and not sure what the larger picture is other than the initial controversy.

  24. 24

Yo, perez, she IS a stunt!

She's a cry for attention these days. I want the old Gaga back!

  25. 25

If someone wrote/sang a song that was offensive to homos, women, black people, disabled, etc etc etc you would think that was deplorable. Truth is, religion is VERY important to some people - I myself am NOT religious, nor do I believe in god… but I RESPECT those who choose religion to enhance their life. Sure, there is a lot of corruption, but not all believers are corrupt. Not all church leaders are corrupt. I've seen religion change people for the better. Please don't be a hypocrite. Jesus was a cool fuckin dude amen. Read the gospels - and yes, even the gospel according to Judas ;)

  26. 26

    Gaga is a Satan's puppet!

  27. 27

If Gaga has the right to offend an entire religion, than of course they have the right to speak out against it. I don't understand how it is OK in today's society to completely bash Christians and Catholics, but it is NOT OK to speak poor of other religions. Utter hypocricy. I'm sick of it.

  28. 28

Re: yeaman – but you also have to think that the bible is the most popular book worldwide so using a biblical reference compared to Benedict Arnold would be a lot more universal because as you see you don't have to be religious to know who Judas Isacoriot is. She just made her song something that could be heard all across the world and people would be able to understand and as the literal lyrics I have heard more innapproarite ones i wouldn't want me siblings to listen to or sing compared to this song

  29. 29

lol he didn’t mention any video. calm yo tits

  30. 30

Perez you get so easily offended when anyone says anything against gays yet when the Catholic church becomes offended you say there is nothing to warrant it. People don't like certain things and you need to respect that they don't agree with it.

  31. 31

This is the worst song I've heard from Lady Gaga, ugh! I love her other stuff but she's slippin!

  32. 32

cant wait to watch you new satanic video! i bet is going to be more dark and disturbing than BTW ,omg cant wait ,bring him down down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #666 LOVE YOU Satanic Mama Monster! #Judas

  33. 33

somebody is going to bring you down down bitch! #666

  34. 34

    Re: terp – agreed.

  35. 35

I do like the song Judas, but i wonder if Gaga would have been brave enough to write a song about Mohammad? And feature a Mohammad in her videos? We all know what the reaction to that would be…somewhat stronger than a few press release condemnations from the Catholic Church..thats for sure.

  36. 36

the reponse in the comments is completely refreshing. i think lady gaga is insanely talented and made two amazing albums. but straying about from the aguilera comparsions and such.

as a Christian, it is offensive. she wanted the attention and for shock value and thats what she is getting. she is so talented though & already a huge superstar. she doesnt have to offend christians to get attention

  37. 37

As much as I like not love lady gaga, and the song judas, its kinda funny how defensive your getting about people talking about her and the song, when the same time last year you were bashing christina for her new album and her style of music at the time. I guess thats karma

  38. 38

I formed an opinion- it's a shitty song.

  39. 39

im sure lady gaga is just loving all of this attention being the massive fame whore she is.

  40. 40

I pride myself on having my thumb on the pulse of what's going on culturally, pop culture, current events, etc. I have honestly not heard any kind of backlash in regard to this video except from this bishop…….stop making up false controversy for publicity purposes - it's lame and overdone. Madonna was the Queen of this and there will not be another, so quit CACA, you're already so fucking predictable

  41. 41

is that all you can do is whine? everyone has their own opinions fatboy! it's our first amendment right to FREEDOM OR SPEECH AND RELIGION. if someone doesn't agree with gays who cares, they can have their own views and thoughts ya know. we don't need to conform and tolerate things we don't believe in.

  42. 42

    Re: terp – exactly!!!!

  43. 43

*Sigh* Perez, do you have any idea how silly you sound and how much you're overreacting? Why do I even ask…of course you don't. It just sounds so silly when I get on here and read this stuff about "hate" against Gaga…Look at what he said…is that really hate? Or simply disagreeing? And I agree with what the first person says…she puts out controversy, and expects it. She must expect it. If she doesn't, she is blind! It's so obvious that she wants to be controversial, like many artists. Plus the church has always criticized things in the media that they don't agree with…such as the Harry Potter books…it's just a fact of life.

  44. 44

I am religious and I find this song very offensive. I don't know why someone would create a song so hurtful to one group of people. It's rude and disrespectful. Religious leaders are right, this si inappropriate. And yeah so a bishop molested his nephew, that's horrible obviously, but this is a completely different thing. I think her song should be banned. Songs that include vular slurs are banned and censored, so why should this be any different?

  45. 45

I'm pretty sure that the "Judas" she is talking about in the song is not the actual Judas from the Bible. It's a metaphor for someone who has betrayed her in the past. The thing I don't like about the song is that it wasn't Judas who betrayed Jesus three times, it was Peter. You'd think if she was going to do a religion-themed song, she'd make sure she got the references right. Anyway I'm sure the video will be over-the-top and controversial to make up for the lackluster song.

  46. 46

Gaga needs to stop. People take their religion serious. What if someone did a song cracking on ghey people ? The same way your group of people want respect, the religious people do as well ! If you want respect give it ! She is being a hypocrite. Don't bash gay people, well don't bash religion. Common fregging sense, you think !!!!!

  47. 47

Im not a hardcore fan of gaga, when i first heard the song i found it quite offensive, but putting my BRAIN in it and interpreting it deeper i can see her point of view, the song is not about her having a romance with judas or jesus, its speaking metaphorically you moronic obscene bitches.i believe shes doing thing that have never been done in the music industry, shes wellspoken, intellectual and caring, how many fucking stars do you see standing up for human rights?but above all shes sucessful, but HEY, HATERS GUNNA HATE.dont try to make up for what you lack by ripping on the sucessful and rich.

  48. 48

Bill is totally right, she has become nothing more than a caricature who has to keep doing outlandish things just to get people to pay attention to her.
There is a distinct difference between using your image to break musical, social and political boundries for the benefit of the world and then there's what Lady Gaga is doing which is exploiting herself and others through every possible avenue, just to create shock value and make her stand out from the crowd.
The so called "message" she's trying to send is overshadowed by her ridiculous escapades which are both obnoxious and offensive (anyone remember the meat dress she wore on VEGAN Ellen Degeneres' Show even when she asked her not to?)
Her constant strive for uniqueness and originality in trying to outdo herself from her last phase of "Artistic Expression" has only rendered her predictable and boring and she will eventually hit a creative "wall"-there are only so many controversial topics in the world to exploit and fewer over the top outfits to wear afterall.
Oh and one more little detail-the actual music itself: IT FUCKING SUCKS.

  49. 49

READ THE LYRICS PEREZ. It just doesn't have to be visual in order to offend.

You wanted to put a stance to bullying yet what you're doing right here is bullying. You're supporting an 'artist' that is blatantly attacking a religion just for attention. I am a catholic, not overly religious and I don't agree on some of the practices that we do but what Lady Gaga is doing is taking it a bit too far, and your outgoing support is just……sad.

Perez I read your site every day but this is becoming a joke. You have the means and tools necessary to build websites so why don't you just dedicate a website to Lady Gaga instead.

  50. 50

where is all the backlash against madonna? isnt gaga just copying her? or do you people just say that because one person said it and now that is your only argument against gaga? why not spread the hate around to everyone? or, OR, i know this will be difficult but what if.. what IF people accepted that gaga isnt going anywhere, that people dont like her, that some people love her and nothing will change peoples opinions about her/everything. people are religious, please dont tell people off for being religious. that is just as offensive of the things you are accusing each other of. i am tired of looking at comments saying "gaga is copying madonna" "i hate her" "i love her, how could anyone hate her" "catholic people cause the worlds problems" etc.

  51. 51

Madonna did this years ago and GaGa is just staring where she left. I guess you have to put on customes and create controversy now to become popular. Song is lame by the way same tired dance crap.

  52. 52

LADY CACA BITCH IS DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NEXT.

  53. 53

This is soooo Madonna that it annoys me.

  54. 54

Re: qtoz23 – You're right about one thing. In Gaga's song, Judas is a metaphor for betrayal. But couldn't she have chosen a different way to express such betrayal? Why bring religious figures into it at all? Oh, that's right…she does it to stir up controversy and to get attention. There's simply no other reason for this song to be about Judas.

And let me ask you this. If Gaga was trying so hard to write about betrayal, couldn't she have used Brutus as an example instead? As in, one of the most infamous examples of betrayal in history? ( Hell, it even RHYMES with Judas) Everything Gaga does is for shock value, including the use of controversial religious figures in her songs. That's not artistry, it's pathetic. (Especially since the song is terrible anyway and sounds like a mashup of every Gaga song off the Fame Monster).

And this is coming from a Gaga fan, btw.

  55. 55

    Bitch is Illuminati period!

  56. 56

yeah I have an opinion. She has her head too far up Madonna's ass. Dressing like her, copying her music, now into the religious thing. Can this idiot not do SOMETHING…ANYTHING original?

I'm not understanding the "oh i love all the gays…but then steps on dangerous ground about religion.

Look, if you are going to vomit equality, then you need to stay off the religious doorstep. Of course, she isn't too smart or she would have known that already. Either that or she found herself some more drugs to blow her own mind.

  57. 57

Re: biana v – AMEN to that! You hear that people, A-FUCKING- MEN!

  58. 58

Why would Gaga write a song about Islam?? Not only is that dangerous (remember the serious threats the South Park writers got?) but I doubt many of her fans would get the references to Muhammad…. It just wouldn't make sense for her to go that.

  59. 59

First it's the religious leaders and then the fans not liking her album cover. What the hell is going on!!!??? Why are people trying to destroy Gaga's career??? It doesn't make any sense to me but anyways, i hope she releases the video for judas and the album soon so everyone can stfu very kindly. :)

  60. 60

You're are such a cry baby, Mario.

  61. 61

Gaga did go to a catholic school for girls for those of u idiots that dont know. she isnt some satanist. and BTW shes doing what others are afraid to do because of the fear of backlash from the churches. Putting their opinion of it out there. FREEDOM OF SPEECH REMEMBER? Churches have their own priests molesting children yet when a person sings about anything religious they try to take the heat off them by saying rude things about a singer that didnt do anything to harm the religion. How are parents supposed to trust their priests when their children go to confess? yet wheres the danger in being a gaga fan? um I see no similarity

  62. 62

Re: DomTrendy – LOL I know in another post one of her little monsters was repeating what gaga said (about Judas betraying Jesus three times I had to correct the poor kid or grown up who knows lol) For someone who grew up Catholic you would think she would know the basics you don't even have to be Catholic to know it was Peter not Judas that betrayed/denied Jesus 3 times lol.

  63. 63

Ugh, so much fuss over a song/music video. Remember Madonna and all the fuss over "Like A Prayer"? Same shit, different decade. Don't buy it, listen to it, or watch the video if you're going to be offended. I'm Catholic, and I don't really give a damn. I like her music, and not everything is meant as a religious or political statement. There are far worse out there.

  64. 64

Re: qtoz23 – Yeah but thats not putting a good example out there. Also, I can see it both ways, I can see your view because a lot of good songs have metaphors and makes you think but I think some people are offended just by the context of what she was using as the metaphor.

  65. 65

Perez, you don't have to wait for a video to come out, you can listen to/read the lyrics and form an accurate/solid opinion based on that. I feel sorry for her. She strives for this whole shock-value thing and it's getting old. I wonder if she's ever really even read the whole story of Judas..

  66. 66

The Catholic church is outraged by a song by a catholic, maybe they should show some outrage about molestation

  67. 67

Re: OriginalRecipe – That's the point why people says she should write a song about islam…..cuz it's dangerous :)

  68. 68

What difference does it make if no one's seen the video yet.
Like her video is going to make any sense anyway. Remember when people listened to Alejandro and the video was more about gay rights than anything that was sung in that song. Or what about "Telephone" when she was tramping around in an all girls prison, standing up for lesbian rights….how the fuck does that have anything to do with someone blowing up your phone with calls???
The whole purpose of hearing a song first is to see if you like it. If you don't end up liking the song (either due to the lyrics or the song itself) then you most likely won't care about the video…

  69. 69

Perez needs to suppress his anger for the Catholic Church already. Yes, we all know GaGa wants the attention so she will throw the values she was instilled with as a girl out of the window. Nothing new. Someone affiliated with the Catholic Church comments on it and Perez immediately throws Catholics under the bus. Its offensive to a lot of people. Be a little sensitive once in a while. I would like to see him offend another religion and see what happens.

  70. 70

I'm not a fan of gaga but this isn't offensive at all. If you're offended by this, you're just stupid. It's a fucking song. It's not literal. The only thing that should offend you is that she even put this song out. It's that bad.

  71. 71

TooRe: MaggieDee – Too dangerous! lol, If she did that all her fans would be to scared to go to her concert any more because perfect opportunity for mass monster extermination. Seriously, something bad would happen if she sexually mocked Muhammad! Most catholics besides these activists could care less…… Please don't go overboard Gaga, shame on y'all for giving her ideas like that!

  72. 72

    This tranny took her tumble

    This tranny soon will fall

This tranny's haus can't save her

This tranny will lose it all!!!!

Post this on all of Lady G's posts to show people how SICK former little monsters are of her! Enough with the acts, bring back "The Fame"!!!!!

  73. k-lee says – reply to this

how convenient is it that she released this song in time for holy week? she's doing it to get reaction, and she's got it.

  74. 74

    sounds familiar…madonna perhaps

  75. k-lee says – reply to this

Yeah, let's see her try to use any Islamic references to her songs and videos. Do it Gaga.

  76. 76

LISTEN UP PEREZ!! I'm so tired of your "anti-hater" posts about Lady Gaga!! I couldn't give a toss about her.. I think she is unorignal and boring and also ugly.
But anyway that's besids the point. My real concearn is your hate of religion!! Am I alone when I sense a slight hate for muslims as well as christians from youself?? You always seem so close minded when it comes to their traditions and values. Who are you to judge? You're just a celebrity gossip blogger, no one really takes what you say about religion seriously, only losers who don't know any better. Your comments are so uneducated and uninformed I find them offensive.
Also, JUDAS JUDAS JUDAS. WHO IS JUDAS? Do you even know Perez, you idiot?? Judas betrayed Jesus ultimately leaving to his death. .. Do you have any idea what that means? He pratctically set Jesus up for death. Christians believe Jesus as son of God and Muslims believe him as a very important prophet.. THIS IS WHY WE ARE OFFENDED!! IDIOT!! GET IT RIGHT STUPIDO!!

  77. 77

they just don't know what to yell at anymore… the song isn't telling anyone to be evil or to be something, its more of a ying yang effect song, the good and bad of her…. we shouldn't allow religion to interfere with pop-culture or anything not religious related… this song my be religion related so its kind of a self embodied emotional aspect of her self….

  78. 78

Yes, it's going to be fucking awesome!!

  79. 79

2 time in a row why does it have to be her all the time this website is full of shit.

  80. 80

I'm Catholic… Pretty devout. But I got the metaphor the first time I heard the lyrics to the song. I can't say I was offended, but I def felt that it was a bit inappropriate.

I also got the transparent attempt to get attention through controversy a la Madonna with "Like A Prayer". Yawn, seen it already.

And why be try to be such an outspoken mouthpiece for other groups, but she has no problem offending religious groups? Is it because bashing Catholics is the easiest way to get attention without dealing with too much backlash since everyone is so used to people dissing the Catholic church? Probably. She IS a stunt lately. Although I wouldn't call myself a fan, I do appreciate and even love a bunch of her earlier songs.. These last two songs IMO are just bad. Very commercial sounding, wanna be edgy-pop music.

  81. 81

    Re: CEB1985
Agreed!! I was such a huge fan, and I mean just nuts about Gaga. But she has completley lost me after this,

  82. 82

Perez your comments about this subject are false. Its NOT the video. Its the subject of the song. I understand you love the girl and everything but with such a topic as heavy as this one, your comments are a little innapropriate. Not everyone loves Lady Gaga.

  83. 83

Hmmmm is there really an entertainer of any sort that isn't a fame whore? I know there are celebs who say, golly gosh I didn't want to be famous….I HATE the attention, I just want to perfect my craft blah blah blah blah……….I say bullshit!

  84. 84

It's amazing how oblivious many people are to the fact that this song is a metaphor. People on here probably don't read or do anything intellectual, but biblical metaphors are nothing new in music or literature.

And let's be real, who is the Catholic church to be pointing any fingers. The Catholic church today is a joke.

  85. 85

Did you not just do the samething about Teen Mom without watching her episodes? You can't have it both ways! That's what drives me crazy about you! If they are gay or for the gays then everything is ALWAYS ok, but if not, you bully people. Try to be a little bit more fair on EVERYONE or then you just have to read what us fans bitch about you!!!!!!!!!!!

  86. 86

Re: biana v – Thats just your perception on this matter i guess. I just think she is trying to bring people together and give us a lesson on our subculture, i also don't see where she is trying to exploit us gays or whatever. If anything she's been helping the gay community and others by speaking out at political events. And as far as the comments go as treating us like we are special in some way… well duh… Gay people have been treated badly within our society for centuries, so therefore we kinda need the extra loving if you know what mean. If black people can get those college funds or whatever special treatment they get… why can't we get something? To us Lady Gaga is that something. ;)

  87. 87

gaga is overrated by talking about her am just giving her more fame , so am done with "her"(gaga).

  88. 88

Are you KIDDING ME? The one espousing hate is Gaga. I'm floored by her outright endorsement of Satanism. I was a huge fan, but this is wayyyyyyy over the line. I've unliked her, unfriended her and deleted her music from my library.

The person espousing hate here is Gaga. Even if this is some sort of joke, at the VERY LEAST she is intentionally offending Christians.

I'm really sad over these developments. I considered myself one of her "Little Monsters" until yesterday. I feel cheated and betrayed by Lady Gaga.

  89. 89

Re: Shaniqua Jones – We're in America, which has been majorly influenced by Christianity, not Islam. Hence why she is using biblical methaphors as opposed to ones from the Koran.

All you people who are "outraged" by this are probably repressed closet homos, jealous of GaGa's lack of inhabitions and success!

  91. 91

Perez, you do realize that the song itself is offensive to Christians, right? We don't need to watch the video, which will probably be worst, to know that singing a song about wanting to love Judas is blasphemous.

  92. 92

I'm a teenager from England who happens to be Catholic. Whilst I'm not actually majorly religious, even I have to say that releasing a song called 'Judas' at EASTER is just asking for attention - which she's got. I liked her at first, but Lady Gaga's constant reinvention is just boring now.

  93. 93

Nah I agree with the pastor preacher guy.

  94. 94

Really? Religion is just a bunch of crap, this is why I want to pull out of church.
Religion is just a fate that someone made up and his name wasn't God. It's not like the church has a direct phone line to him and he didn't write the bible either. And words get twisted, do anyone honestly believe that Jesus cured a man from his blindness and woke someone up from the dead? I believe he was a wise man from his time and I believe he was a good doctor but I don't believe he was "God" son.

Let Lady GaGa do her thing, you don't have to watch. Let us be "brainwashed", at least we don't let a book rule our life. Believing in something that doesn't exist. The only God there is is the power in us. We rule our own life and not the house that is called church or the book called the bible that has been "sent from 'God' from heaven".

Re: crickets – Yeah, suck money.

  96. 96

Re: q8iscouse – Thank you so much! I've actually been seriously put off Gaga because all she ever does is good and this site is just all about her. It's driving me crazy!

  97. 97

While I completely agree with Bill, he's just giving this awful song publicity by speaking.

  98. 98

Is perez so up lady gaga's butthole that he can't read or hear correctly. People should be offended when their religion or way of life including homosexuality is mocked and used in a song inappropriately for shock value. She has the right of freedom of speech and so does he. And he has a point. Funny how perez never reports anything negative about her like how her mom is on tour with her to make sure she eats and doesn't drink too much or how she still occasionally does coke. Come on Mario, can you at least be a little objective. I'm with Katy Perry on this, don't use religious imagery just for the shock value. Lady Gaga isn't all about love, only for her own community. Big Lady Gaga fan but she doesn't need all of that shock value crap to sell albums. Her voice and songs are enough but if she continues to mock religions, I am going to be turned off by her.

  99. 99

stop defending GAGA fat ass motherfucker that song is a threat to the catholic church plus is the same shit gaga has done since she came out GAGA go back to the zoo that's where you came from

I fired off my letter yesterday

"I’m confident Jesus himself would agree your time would be better spent exposing and assisting the prosecution of countless child/adolescent abusers hidden and protected for decades by the very people entrusted with our sons/daughters futures."
