Emma Stone Goes Emotional! Check Out The Trailer For The Help

The time of Emma Stone is upon us!

She's already proven her ability to hold her own in lighter fare such as Superbad and Easy A, and now it looks like she's going to prove herself as a dramatic actress in The Help (above).

Just watching this trailer got us a bit choked up. We're feeling good about this one.

Between this film and The Amazing Spider-Man, Ms. Stone has got A LOT going for her right now.

Best of luck, Emma!

What do U think of the trailer for The Help? Will this be Emma Stone's breakthrough dramatic performance?

Wow — yet another film about black people being rescued by the Great White Savior. Hollywood loves these movies. The Blind Side, Driving Miss Daisy, Bagger Vance, Mississipi Burning — we can go on and on. When will Hollywood mature beyond the "Diff'rent Strokes" mentality? It's really sick.

Hmm…Phelan is our family name. Interesting…

Re: Eggie – It isn't JUST about that. It's about this woman being treated like crap and finding the courage in herself to stand up against a racist town. It's the story of all of these women. And who cares if a white person helps, not every white person is a racist, and some did help end slavery and segregation.

Re: BeautifulDisaster311 – such an amazing book!!!! I just read it a month ago and was hoping they would make it into a movie!!!

Re: Eggie – Oh, I forgot — Dangerous Minds is another great example. And Mimi, I have no idea how you could interpret my post as implying that "every white person is racist." Really? That's so nonsensical that I don't even know how to respond. I was making a statement about a Hollywood trend. And I'm a white guy. Once again: Huh?

This movie looks amazing. I can't wait to see it. Finally something inspiring in theaters. The story reminds me a bit of The Long Walk Home, which I loved and interestingly enough also features Sissy Spacek.

Re: PinotNoir_PLs – Me too!! I was thinking that the day before I say the trailer on Access Hollywood.

Re: Eggie – STFU. There are movies about blacks saving whites. Enough w the black/white stuff. I'm so over it. It's 2011, not 1901.
