Poor Kathleen Turner! Broadway Play High To Close After Eight Performances!

kathleen turners play to close early

What a shame! The woman's capable of SO MUCH!

This Sunday, Kathleen Turner's Broadway play High will close, after only eight performances and five days running!

Unfortunately, the show's reviews were largely negative, which dissuaded producers from riding things out for a while.

Ticket prices were going for an average of $18, and even with such LOW prices, seats still weren't filling up!

Kathleen was fantastic in Californication two seasons ago…maybe she should take a break from theatre and do her TV thing for a bit.

Perhaps she could go the James Franco route and do her daytime thing on General Hospital? Or perhaps she could surprise us all with some singing on Glee?? OR maybe Tina Fey can add her as another 30 Rock guest star after Condoleezza Rice???

Just some thoughts! We'd love to see Kathleen Turner make her triumphant return in one way or another…

Did U see Kathleen's play High? Do U think she should return to TV? Or should she keep doing her theatre thing?

she looks like Hilary Clinton who just ate John Goodman

Turner was great, but the play was only so-so.

    Re: bongo – Lol!

I love this woman, regardless. She fights a debilitating immune disease but still manages to work. She's inspiring.

She was so hot in BODY HEAT.

I saw this show in Cincinnati, and it was fantastic! I'm so sad to hear that it doesn't get a fair run on Broadway. :/ Turner was absolutely fantastic when I saw it, along with the rest of the cast.

Wow, would have never recognized her. What happened? For all the men that drooled over her in the 80's, what's your opinions now? LOL

For someone whom was a gorgeous as she was in her younger days, she sure let herself go. I mean I know she's had some kind of glandular prob or something but still. The bitch looks rough now. She's def seen better days.

The show has been in previews since March 25th! That is way more than 8 performances. I saw the show 2nd week and loved every moment. Sad to see the show go…

I saw High. Turner was magnificent. The play was excellent.

I'm sorry to say this, but I honestly thought that someone photoshoped a man's face on her body. She looks rough!

She was fabulous in this. So was Evan J. Very sad people couldnt give this a chance. You know a show is good when it pulls out emotion from the audience. Went to a preview show, and opening night-you could hear audience members crying at both shows. Such a shame.

How the fk do you go from being a hot mama to looking like this?

LOVE HER! Everyone can't stay a size 2 forever. And when there's a medical issue (I'm on steroids for life because of a kidney transplant) there's really nothing you can do about the weight.

She got me hooked on Californication. She can do anything, especially comedy. She's a force of nature.

    I did see the show….

first of all, that is a terrible picture of her…she looked MUCH better on stage!

second, she was great in the show…and the play was interesting, thought-provoking, dismal…but not great

the only bad thing about the play was the co-star…not enough nuance to his performance - he was a caricature of a drug addict….

i get so angry at young people thinking that you can stay "hot" forever….jeez

I'M SO MAD! I saw it today and I thought it was one of the best Broadway plays I've ever seen. She was fantastic… critics are crazy
