Perez, could you please stop talking like a 15 year old girl for once in your life?

  2. 2

This is my Resident Director from SUNY Delhi!!! This happened back in October at the Oneonta Mall.

  3. 3

She's also Miss New York 2007

  4. 4

aww this is so cute :) but if i was in the cinema waiting to watch the movie i'd be like "oh ffs."

  5. 5

Jesus… Southside Mall of all the theaters in the world aha… I go to school in Oneonta. :)

  6. 6

I wish people would put more effort in STAYING in the marriage vs. the actual proposal.

What the fuck was the 'serve jesus' part all about? That was wierd.

  8. 8

mystery guitar man already did that. This dude stole his idea! MGM's was better. :)

  9. 9

Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor goes to the guy with the White Baseball Cap who keeps eating his popcorn

  10. 10

There is no way I would think that trailer was real past the first 15 seconds. Also " most importantly serve Jesus together." lol ewww

  11. 11

He's pretty hot for a Jesus freak.

  12. 12

Re: 7tizz – Yeah. Dude wants to toss the J word around and we're supposed to think he hasn't been boinking her all along. Why not serve food to the homeless instead of grandstanding, douche bag.

  13. 13

mysteryguitarman did this already. how original

  14. 14

Would have been great without the "serve Jesus by your side" crap.

  15. 15

I would of told them to sit down and shut up.

  16. 16

this was filmed in my hometown, Rochester, NY. yay!

  17. 17

During the trailer, she was probably thinking, "This movie looks fucking dumb." I, for one, would NOT see that film.

  18. 18

Wait… is this seriously supposed to be a real proposal? not to be a debbie downer but that just looks like a fucking commercial for the dudes that DO things like create cool proposals… the way she said yes sounded so effing fake! And calling out the dudes on camera that helped him create the trailer before walking down the hallway hand in hand in the movie theatre? Uhhhhhh YEAH. RIGHT. Sorry, perez… Gotta call bullshit on this one!

    Re: cruhhjackus – word.

  20. 20

Sorry this does nothing for me–self indulgent and a waste of time for all the other people there to see a movie–and the serve Jesus put it over the top. Yech

  21. 21

I think this was a beautiful proposal. I don't understand why everyone is hating on it. I hope they have a very happy and long marriage. I like that he wants to serve Jesus with her. It takes 3 to make a marriage work; you, significant other, and Jesus.

  22. 22

I love this! A beautiful and loving proposal. I love that he included serving Jesus in the proposal, because it take 3 to make a marriage:husband, wife, and Jesus.I wish them a happy and long marriage.

  24. 24

Re: FierceTyperRe: FierceTyper – … Actually, that is my brother and it is totally real. All the video guys are friends of ours. Proud of him and excited for my new sister-in-law to join the fam.

  25. 25

    Re: oldz kool

How do you know he doesn't already help the homeless?

He seemed like a very nice guy who gave his fiance a special memory.

It only took a couple minutes and everyone else moved on with their life. Not a big deal in the big scheme of things.

And so what if he loves and acknowledges Jesus? I am not a religious person, but I don't act superior to others who are.

It's a common fact that religious people do give more to charity and help the homeless more than the likes of people like you.

  26. 26

Re: Apol10 – This also made me lol. I didn't know a guy who may or may not have existed, who died thousands of years ago had such an influence on people's marriages. That's insane.

  27. 27

Whoa! These are some close friends of mine, we hang out weekly! No need to be rude or hatin. These are just two people who genuinely love each other, and Todd's pretty sweet effort to do something memorable for his proposal.

    Looking forward to the wedding!

  28. 28

Re: FierceTyper – This was a sincere, beautiful and extremely real proposal that I had the privilege of witnessing firsthand! My soon to be brother-in-law created an awesome memory for my wonderful sister-in-law! We can't wait to see them married and to watch them continue to serve Jesus!

  29. 29

Mystery Guitar Man already did this like a year ago :/

  30. 30

why the fuck everybody hating on jesus?

  31. JCPR says – reply to this

this one takes the cake! pretty unique!

  32. 32

would have been great without the jesus part. come ON! "Let's serve Santa Claus together"

  33. 33

So much for society being accepting. I thought it was a great idea and he pulled it off well. It was very sweet. All you people who only care that he mentioned his belief in Jesus, shame on you. You want homosexuals and people of color and women to all be equal but you want to put nonbelievers up on a pedestal. Hypocrites.

  34. 34

Super cute… he must be filthy rich to pull something like that though (good for him… and her!) =)

  35. 35

    This was soo soo sweet!! It almost brought me to tears! :) So congrats to them! And to all you idiots GET A LIFE! If you have something against religion take it somewhere else! All you people make me sick! Mentioning Jesus and having him part of your life, is the way to go. STOP freaking hating, and saying stupid crap! Take your dumb Atheist butts thoughts some where else! Gosh…. -___-;

  36. 36

what bothers me about this is the fact that the 'most important thing' is to serve Jesus.. isn't the most important thing that you love each other and could not live without one another?

  37. 37

Mystery Guitar Man already did this!

  38. 38

her reaction was very disapointing . she must have already known about the movie trailer .

  39. 39

It was very sweet and romantic and I'm guessing freakin' expensive. Too bad the guy is a religious freak, though.

  40. 40

Re: mrstarantin0 – LOL! All you people hating on people hating on "Serve Jesus" how would you feel if he said "Serve Allah??"

  41. 41

He had me until he said, most importantly bless jesus.

  42. 42

He had me until he said "most importantly serve Jesus"

  43. 43

Re: 7tizz – He is pretty legit…you should check him out tomorrow sometime…it is Easter…gives you a good reason

  44. 44

Re: TheDeetzes – actually I am really close friends with both of them…and I am friends with a couple of the guys who filmed it…it pays to have friends that are that talented.

  45. 45

Re: NookiesWA – and that is why no one asked you

  46. 46

The serve Jesus part kinda through me for a loop. If my husband would have asked me to serve Jesus with him during his proposal I would have probably laughed in his face. I mean there is nothing wrong with wanting to serve Jesus, but it's not for me.

Also I'm the type of bitch that if I was proposed to this way I'd say no, just because it was probably really expensive and more thought was put into it than actually getting married.

  47. 47

I am a friend of this guy and his girlfriend. The reason for the references to Jesus is that the guy is a minister to college students. The gal and he met through that ministry. So Jesus is a very big part of their lives.

  48. 48

Re: Screamer77 – Not rich. He works for a ministry to college students. His friends did this for him as a gift.

  49. 49

Re: 7tizz – The guy is a minister to college students. He met his wife through this ministry. Jesus is a very big part of their lives, so that's why He figures so prominently in the video, too.

  50. 50

Re: FierceTyper – Yes. It's real. I know the guy (since he was a baby, in fact) and worked with his dad. They will be married about a month from now.

  51. 51

Re: FierceTyper – actually it's completely real. Elisabeth is the head of brother's and sisters in christ and that is how they met.

Why do all you people have to call bullshit on something that a ton of people are saying is true, and it's my freaking resident hall director at my college. go to the you tube channel. it really happened.

  52. 52

Re: Screamer77 – Not rich. He is a minister. His friends did this for him as a gift.

  53. 53

omg idg y ppl r hating. this was so sweet and u can really tell that their in love. i wish them the best. shes a lucky girl =)

  54. 54

Re: Traci Cavanaugh – "most importantly serve Jesus by your side." Ugh. Is your family afraid of the Big Bad Wolf too? Get real.

  55. 55

that's one of the gayest things I've seen in a awhile

  56. 56

Re: 7tizz – Yeah I thought that was weird too. Who says that in a proposal?!?!?!?!

  57. 57

I thought it was very sweet. Why are some so quick to condemn a person for including a faith or belief in a PROPOSAL to spend the rest of their lives together? I'm not Christian, but I didn't find it at all "weird" that two people who seem to have and share strong religious beliefs already would want to include that as part of a commitment to one another. WHO is that hurting? He said nothing derogatory, intolerant, or preachy. He stated HIS beliefs as it pertains to what THEY want to be a center point of their marriage. Just as I believe that ALL people should have the utmost tolerance and respect for homosexuals and gay marriage, I also don't see a problem in somebody maintaining a personal belief that, when not used as "ammunition" or "justification" to hurt or disrespect others, helps them achieve love and happiness. There is so much injustice and sadness in the world, why waste energy to make sure EVERYBODY knows you think THEIR faith and belief are "weird"..?

  58. 58

Man there are some *seriously* negative people on here lol. Go rub one out and you'll feel better. Lighten up, unless you're jealous of course. Then by all means indulge yourself in your misery and make fun of everyone else so you can have a moment of happiness. It may have been done before but it was still very sweet. At least he went to that much effort for it. It shows he cared enough to do it. I've heard of people proposing in Walmart parking lots. I'm sure they'll be happy together. On another note yeah the whole Jesus part was weird and unnecessary. I have to agree there.

  59. 59

Re: stupidkibbles3 – This actually happened only a few weeks after mystery guitar man's… before his version was well known.

  60. 60

the REAL question i want answered is….did they sit back down and watch the movie they went there for?? LOL

  61. 61

    Re: 7tizz – Lol I know that one through me a bit…

  62. 62

Re: Traci Cavanaugh – Congrats to them! :)

  63. 63

    Re: Swedeheart – HAHAHA!!

  64. 64

This message board just got really weird. Too many posts starting with, "I'm friends with him and blah blah blah." Name dropping = boring

  65. 65

I heard a rumor…looked into it and sure enough… this country was founded believing in God and that is why you find "In God We Trust" on the back of the dollar bill and in the pledge of allegiance they say "one nation under God". Congrats on a cool proposal with miss New York.

  66. 66

I would be pretty pissed off if my boyfriend said the most important part of our relationship was to serve Jesus LOL.

  67. 67

WAY TO GO! LOVE the proposal, LOVE the fact that JESUS is the center of their lives, and LOVE that I got to see it!!!!

  68. 68

Re: Screamer77 – She's not hot at all..rofl shes on a steady decline..can tell by that already. I guess it times asshates like yourself have no game at all when it comes to hot women. Leaves more for me.

  69. 69

He ruined it with that whole Jesus comment, but pretty cool.

  70. 70

I would have been pretty pissed if I was one of the other movie goers. And that guy is a douchebag; nobody wants to witness your proposal, those people paid money to see a movie not to watch you propose to your girlfriend. They'll be the type of people that also have a wedding website and shove their wedding day down everyone's throats.

  71. 71

    Re: Kat_Gee

    Very well said.

  72. 72

    'most importantly, serve Jesus"? Jeez.

  73. 73

    'most importantly, serve Jesus"? Jeez.

  74. 74

I thought that was sweet until the jesus part. Christians disgust me. The world would be a much better place with out it and any other religion.

  75. Watup says – reply to this

Wow.. there's a lot of NEGATIVE people over here… Come on! Just see the gesture and how sweet he was with that special proposal… I wish all guys could be that thoughtful! But instead people always see the glass half empty rather half full…

  76. 76

that was horrible. I bet she was cringing in her seat the whole time, wtf is this shit?? then he stands her up in a room full of strangers who are obviously not impressed, and expresses his love for jesus?? come one. I would've been pissssssed off as either a patron, or his gf.

fucking christians. they want an audience for everything.

  77. 77

Re: Megdiggle – AHAHAHAHHAHAHAH. best comment on here.

  78. 78

Jeez people, I think its cute. He was probably very nervous, especially with all those people watching. Its only 5 minutes out of the movie-goers time which would be spent watching another preview so whats the big deal? And if the are religious or whatever who cares if he says stuff about Jesus, obviously christianity is something they share and everyone should be happy that he was brave enough to do that and went through all that effort to show her he loves her. Get over yourselves.

  79. 79

Awesome proposal! Name dropping Jesus is a wonderful touch! The most important thing any couple could do for their relationship would be to put Jesus at the center of it all. Congrats to dynamic duo!

  80. 80

If anyone deserves a name-drop, it would be Jesus! It was a very real and personal touch that, to me, made the entire proposal. I am all for a relationship with Jesus at the center of it! Very happy for the dynamic duo!

  81. 81

I don't understand all the hating on Jesus and even more so that people are so shocked that he used Jesus in his proposal,,Big fucking Deal, they're religious, get over it!

  82. 82

i wish them the best, shout outs to everyone in the world that is nice…. i hate mean people

  83. 83

i was always told that oneonta is the las vegas of upstate ny. i still totally agree.

  84. 84

Cute =) Personally, I would've preferred to see him just get down on one knee and ask her to marry him immediately after the "trailer" ended with no other words attached. Having this made and set-up for her was enough to prove to her how much she meant to him. @Wenchtits lmao exactly my thoughts

  85. 85

Wow, every comment on here is hating on this guy because he mentioned the name Jesus. He didn't "grand stand" or turn around and interview everyone else about their faith etc.. He said a name and everyone is now so utterly offended that they think this guy is a "douche."

Have respect for people's beliefs and opinions. Yes, religion in general has a bad rap for being close-minded etc. but not everyone share's those opinions or beliefs.

I am a christian who respects and treats other people with respect and compassion even if they disagree with me, but I guess that isn't good enough for some people on this site.

  86. 86

Re: smiley010992 – That's exactly what Hitler said about the Jews. Your kind of mentality - getting rid of people you can't understand or with whom you don't agree - is dangerous and sad. You need to work on your humanity, as do hateful Christians and non-Christians alike.

  87. 87

Re: Swedeheart – I'm sorry but what would that have to with anything? are you trying to make it look more evil if there was a scenario in which someone said they would serve Allah? would that somehow be much worse? as if it was the same equivalent to Hitler? Just because someone practices islam it doesnt mean they are an extremist. Just for your own information, Allah actually means God in Arabic, they are apperantly the same thing but just different names. I dont give two fucks as I'm not religious but maybe just check your facts before posting them. If I totally misunderstood what you said I apologize but that is just the impression I got from the sentence "LOL! All you people hating on people hating on "Serve Jesus" how would you feel if he said "Serve Allah??"

I got the impression that you are religious and to be discriminatory towards another one due to some different views is sad. If god and all that stuff is real, we could actually learn a thing or two from the Buddhism who actually approve of all religions as long as they are based on love and compassion. It's that simple.
