Catherine Zeta Jones May Star In Bipolar Disorder Documentary

We think it's a good idea, so long as she gets the help she needs to deal with it first.

Reportedly, Catherine Zeta Jones has been approached to take part in a documentary that documents the struggles of living with bipolar disorder. She apparently is "very interested in the idea" and has "long had the intention of turning her hand to film making and this is something she feels passionate about.”

Helping to bring awareness to the disease is very important, but first she must come to terms with it herself. Right now, it's too soon, at least we think.

Take this much needed break, Cat. Take care of yourself. Then, you'll have all the time and strength you'll need to help others…and we'll applaud you every step of the way!

It's not a disease Perez, it's a disorder. The worst part about reading your site is having to constantly correct you.

Disease: a definite pathological process having a characteristic set of signs and symptoms. It may affect the whole body or any of its parts, and its etiology, pathology, and prognosis may be known or unknown. See also illness, mal, sickness, and syndrome.

Disorder: a derangement or abnormality of function; a morbid physical or mental state.

People who have bipolar know the difference.

That woman married a 80 years old man and once he got sick ( of course ) she became bi-polar… yeah right… Rich people always looking the way to get attention … What else is new…. Now she will write a book… then a movie… since everyone forgot about her before this !

Why would people bother her about it? I can't believe what a disgusting world we have become. So what? She has money so she can be bipolar all she wants. She has had enough trouble in the last year hasn't she? I guess we all need to stand and stare at her and point now. At least she isn't clubbing, drinking, falling down, and showing everyone her privates.

I don't think a bipolar II diagnosis means she has to stop her life in her tracks. She's probably always struggled with bouts of depression. Now she knows she has hypomania, which is not even close to full mania. If she feels ready to work, lay off her, Perez.

My Hampster is bi polar who's going to help him? I can't because I'm Bi polar and I've got enough on my hands looking after my Bi polar Goldfish. I'd ask my Mom but she is Bi polar, if it wasn't for her dog, fido, she'd have to check into rehab like Cathrun Suck Jayaz. BTW fido is bi polar. Aren't we fuckin all!!!

If someone has bipolarity it would be nice if they could afford the treatment and therapy for it. It wrecks your life and guess what nobody cares. You get told to snap out of it. My cousin died at his own hand from it. She's very fortunate that she has been given the opportunity to make money to get treatment. When I asked my Dr. what does this mean that you're telling me I have? He said "Oh, it's just who you are, it happens to people with extremely high IQ's" "Sometimes, its best not to dig too deep into it" "Ok, that will be $200. You'll have to come 3x a week to attack this, and I don't take insurance"
You gotta love it. Good luck to CTJ though, I do hope that she will get the help to beat this horrible thing that makes you feel awful about yourself.

I don't know enough, or care to know enough about bipolar disorder since it doesn't really affect me, but if she made a Documentary about it, i would probably watch - so yay for awareness?

She won't be making a documentary. That was debunked by Gossip Cop.
