Hey NBC! Paul Reiser Is PISSED About Being Canceled!

| Filed under: Icky Icky PooTV NewsJay LenoBusiness Blitz

Awwwwkward.

Last night on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, Paul Reiser was scheduled to appear to promote his new NBC sitcom, The Paul Reiser Show…but then they canceled it on Friday after only two episodes.

Check out the actor STILL making his appearance, and not at all sarcastically discussing why he thinks he was axed (above)!

Ouch! Can't say we blame him for being so pissed, though!

Didn't seem like they gave him much of a shot!

What do U think?? Should his show have gotten the boot so quickly?

They will give him an opportunity for another sitcom. He needs something less traditional.

    Xtina looks bloated and tipsy

I do feel a little bad for Paul, but I gave his show a shot and it was just a Curb rip-off minus the funny. At least he could feel proud about his effort if he had tried to be original.

And if any TV execs are reading this: THE OFFICE IS PLAYED OUT, TIME TO FIND ANOTHER SHOW TO COPY. PS Modern Family has already been copied too many times, so try another successful one to emulate and water down.

I watched this episode last night. I didn't think Paul was pissed, just making jabs at the network who cancelled his show, just like any actor would. He was actually very understanding, in my opinion. Perez making a big deal out of nothing as usual.

How humiliating to have to make an appearance on the very network that screwed you over. Show business is brutal.

He didnt even TRY to create a good show ..for someone with his reputation to completely rip Larry David off like that was just so disappointing for once NBC got it right and I dont know how he could have even showed his face at Leno I have been looking forward to seeing him again on TV for so long and he really let me down

Paul's big mistake was not making it reality and using his polished timing to swear, fight, party and fall down drunk. Oh, yeah, he could chuck his long term relationships and share a house with some bad actors. That's the new standard.

    Team Coco

i really didn't think he sounded too upset. the show was rushed into production and didn't work.

AND to the office comment above, just so you know modern family has been on for less than 2 seasons, the office has been on for seven, so NBC (or ricky gervais, who created it) did not copy modern family's format. (mockumentary)

@ raybanlove. Where in my comment did I say Modern Family came before The Office? I watched the original Office when it aired on BBC, never question me again.

And let's also state for the record that Paul Reiser was NEVER funny. Do you see Mad About You in syndication anywhere?

    Re: blowbot – soooo true.

NBC sucks. ABC sucks… CBS sucks… HBO sucks…they ALL suck! They run the same shows and movies over and over again! They have no one to blame but themselves. Ever watch a movie on AMC? No problem if you missed it, cuz they'll run it 8pm, 10pm, 12am, 2am, 4am. LAME!

No doubt some greedy little accountant made the decision to pull Pauls Reiser's show.
