Watch Chris Colfer Beautifully Perform Sunset Blvd's Classic As If We Never Said Goodbye On Glee!!!

This…this had us in tears. To think, if this were a different time, a talent like this would've been wasted out of sheer ignorance.

Last night's episode of Glee was rather glorious, we must say. Everything was perfect - the writing, the acting and most importantly, the music. It's been awhile since we could honestly say we enjoyed every number (Brittany-Britney anyone?), but last night, we were simply captivated…but mostly with Chris Colfer.

Check out the video (above) to see Chris perform, in full, As If We Never Said Goodbye, from Sunset Boulevard.

We were trembling…our hands were shaking. You don't know how we've missed you too, Kurt! Bravo!

Added bonus - click on the jump if you'd also like to see Lea Michele and Dianna Agron's very Pretty duet and the cast's rendition of Born This Way.

Thoughts, Gleeks? Has the show finally hit a stride again?

P.S. - The lebanese/lesbian joke - it's been done, Ryan Murphy. Golden Girls, Season Two. Look it up!

"To think, if this were a different time, a talent like this would've been wasted out of sheer ignorance." Right. Because there's never been a gay actor in Hollywood before. *eyeroll* Mario, you're such a fucking idiot.

  2. 2

He has the most beautiful voice.

  3. 3

In a different time, Johnny Mathis, Little Richard and Michael Jackson all developed huge fan bases, as did other men of a certain type. Big talents are not always wasted, y'know.

  4. 4

The only major problem I had with the episode is that it didn't feel like a longer episode. All they really did was insert a commercial break every 5 minutes and instead of shortening the song numbers, they sang the whole songs.

Aside from that, I thought the episode was overall good. I was just hoping they would focus more on the whole Kurt/Akrofsky (sp) relationship.

  5. 5

Lady Gaga reference #2-and its only 10:30…let's keep em coming Perez. Let's see if you can hit twenty in one day!

  6. 6

I tried liking GLEE, but I can't stand a few of their high pitched, annoying voices. I love this song, but I feel he butchered it. Just saying.

  7. 7

I hope the rest of the episodes aren't centered on Chris as they were in the beginning of the season. I get that the show is saying gay is ok and that's fine but frankly his character irritates the hell out of me.

  8. 8

I'm gay and even I'm tired of "Glee" and this pasty-faced kid.

  9. 9

he is a walking gay stereo type, and such an ugly guy!! I used to like the show, but you turned me off from the show, and now everything seems to be focus on this ugly kid!

  10. 10

His voice makes my ears bleed. Sometimes he's okay, like in Blackbird, but he should try these big Broadway numbers. He's no Lea Michele.

And thanks for teaching kids that being gay means being a cliche, Glee. Being gay doesn't mean you're effeminate and love show tunes.

  11. 11

    he is just amazing..

  12. 12

I thought the scene went on too long, but that's just me. And the episode didn't feel all that "special" as opposed to 1 hour ones. Had they cut down all the times they told Rachel she was beautiful or their lives revolving around her nose (no pun intended), they could've easily cut this down. A lot of hype but so-so follow through.

  13. 13

I really likes this episode. But I do agree with Re: Kristen Kay Jordan – It was really only about 13 min longer than a usual episode. And can I just say that Santana had me laughing the whole night? "The only straight I am is straight up bitch."

  14. 14

His voice sounds like dying ducks on fire.

  15. 15

hahahahaha epic win on the GG reference!

  16. 16

Pretty sure the song is called "Unpretty"

  17. 17

Loved everyones performance! Glad to see Chris back with his friends.
Born this way was pretty cool! Great show last night.

  18. 18

and on 'born this way' - how brave of them to delete the line about transgendered!

  19. 19

Boring! His character needs other story lines, not just I'm gay. Like instead of putting on his shirt "I like Boys", maybe "I can't dance" because he is a horrible dancer and has no rhythm.

  20. 20

This episode was WAY TOO OVERRATED. I can't stand Kurt. Am I the only one that feels that one of the reasons Kurt came back is because he wanted to go to Nationals and was jealous his friends were going and not him? Plus, I skipped Kurt's song. I can't stand his voice

  21. 21

oh and why not so much Brittany? I think the best people in the show are Brittany, Santana, and Sue. Hopefully Gweneth Paltrow is gone. Alot of the comments above are right about Kurt. I know alot of gay people and there are some that act the stereo type but some don't.

  22. 22

Finally, you promote someone other than Darren Criss. Gosh, you don't have the eye for talent you think you do, Criss is not a good actor and his role in the show is so generic and boring.

  23. 23

I resent your comment about having this been different times, Chris as a talent had been wasted. What kind of ignorance are YOU showing but saying this? There have been countless gay people in hollywood and no, he's so good, he'd NEVER get passed by or wasted. Shame on you!

  24. 24

What a booorrriiiinnnnnggg episode! I left the room. The songs were so sucky! I absolutely cannot stand that new fat, ugly girl. I can't stand the black girls ham hocks! The show so has gone downhill & I don't find it interesting anymore. Love the gay guys but get rid of the horribly fat girls!

  25. 25

Re: perezisadumbass – Completely agree! Where was Sue all night? And what happened to all of Brittany's one-liners? I used to be the hugest gleek, but its getting tired and boring now :(
I agree with all of the comments about Kurt and Blaine too.. I'm gay, and they both annoy me… They need to start casting more gay characters like the gay guy in "I love you man".. not all of us gays worship Cher and dress in Prada.

  26. 26

"We were trembling…our hands were shaking. " You can't be serious!

unpretty is already kicking Juda´s butt on itunes… LMAO

  28. 28

I'm sick of this creepy little gueen.

  29. 29

hey glee creators 56mins are NOT "90 gleekin' minutes!" as your trailer tried to claim… and commercials are NOT gleekin!

besides this brainless fact the episode was overall pretty good again, yay for Santana!

Re: OhJustPickOne – I think what Perez means is that in a different time there would have never been a scene like this on TV. If I had a show like Glee when I was a kid it would have made a WORLD of difference to the way I saw the world. The young gay and lesbian kids now have someone to watch and say it's ok to be different and unique.

  31. 31

Re: Mario_Sucks.com – Excuse me but you sound like the idiot. P meant that in a different time there would never have been a character or a scene played on television like Kurt's story; an effeminate guy who can sing like Streisand. It was never allowed to be shown on tv. So simple and yet you don't get it. Why do you even read this blog? HATER.

  32. 32

Re: angie MN – Oh my god. You posted this comment as a joke, right? If so, you missed the funny mark by like a bagillion. And if you were serious (which unfortunately I think you were…), you need to contact a trusted loved one to come over and proceed to smack the shit out of you for your own good. I typically abhor violence of any kind, but in the face of such malicious hate and idiocy I’m willing to make an exception. That’s the point of the show genius—TOLERANCE.

  33. 33

I am sucha Gleek. I liked all the numbers. I wish there was more Rachel!!! she is my fav. Also, I liked Kurt's song

I hope Chris uses this as his Emmy consideration submission. What a fantastic job on the Sunset Blvd tuner.I especially loved the fact that it was the FULL song and wasn't shortened. Excelllent.. just, excellent!! A great episode in all…

  35. 35

    Re: dlstxmale
Omg I didn't even notice that…smh Glee. You can't preach equality for just the gays, transgendered people deserve respect too. I love the show but that was seriously uncool.

  36. 36

I loved the Unpretty/I Feel Pretty mash-up although Quinn's voice was very annoying in the beginning of the song. This episode was better than the past few but it is still nowhere near as good as the first season. The Brittney/Artie thing is way past its prime also. She isn't even funny anymore! And more Sue please!

  37. 37

P.S. - The lebanese/lesbian joke - it's been done, Ryan Murphy. Golden Girls, Season Two. Look it up!

Wow, Perez, you push BOTH GaGa AND Glee (I love both) down everyone's throats and this seems to have gone right over your head…

It's not just a simple "Brit is stupid joke" it's a play on the lyrics in Born This Way…. You'd think you'd caught that, but I guess you'd rather show your gay tv show trivia knowledge than acknowledge that they found a funny way to incorporate EVERY lyric in the show.
