Men and women can't resist RuPaul!
Monday nights season finale of Rupaul's Drag Race has not only secured season 3 as the series' highest-rated season to date, but was also Logo's highest rated telecast to-date in the Men 18-49 and Women 25-54 demos.
The show is getting such a tremendous response, the network is even launching a campaign to garner an Emmy nomination! The networks Senior Vice President of original programming, Dave Mace, commented:
"RuPaul’s Drag Race reigns as Logo’s ‘Supreme Queen,’ continuing to attract fierce and fabulous viewers to our network. In response to the demands of this juggernaut franchise’s fans, we’ve even launched an Emmy campaign to support nominations for ‘Outstanding Reality-Competition Program’ and RuPaul for ‘Outstanding Host for a Reality Program.’”
The "Supreme Queen", host, and executive producer, RuPaul Charles said:
“We are ecstatic that the third season of RuPaul’s Drag Race is its biggest yet, and continues to attract legions of new fans from all walks of life. In the ‘Age of Gaga’ having the opportunity to showcase the art and attitude that is drag, and to give these brave and talented performers a global platform is the greatest reward.”
We're so happy that this show is getting the attention it deserves and wish it well in the upcoming Emmy race.
