Town Changes Its Name To Title Of New Morgan Spurlock Doc
What will come next? A town called Scream 4???
Starting at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, the town of Altoona, Pennsylvania will change its name to POM Wonderful Presents: The Greatest Movie Ever Sold for 60 days!
The city's goal with the name change is to help documentarian Morgan Spurlock make a point about "the proliferation of advertising in American life."
Looks like this will be a win-win situation for both Morgan and the town! While this name change will help Spurlock prove a point AND give him some seriously creative advertising for his own film, the town itself will make $25,000, which will go to their police department.
Good luck, Morgan! We wish U all the best with this film, and we hope the city of Altoona has a lovely 60 days with their new name! Ha!
