two and a half men plans move forward without charlie

This shouldn't come as any kind of shocker to Charlie.

Earlier this month, the word going around was that it was VERY doubtful that Charlie Sheen would be asked to return to Two and a Half Men.

Now, Chuck Lorre is moving forward with plans for a Two and a Half Men "re-boot," and sources say that both he and Warner Bros have ZERO intention of inviting Charlie to return.

Here are the details we've heard thus far about the potential Men reboot show:

-Jon Cryer would have a "significant role"

-A new character would be introduced (Woody Harrelson, Jeremy Piven, and Bob Saget have been mentioned as possibilities)

-Show would most likely return mid-season, as opposed to next fall

Nothing's been 100% confirmed yet, but it definitely sounds like this is going to happen.

Charlie's gonna have to SERIOUSLY up the ante with his apology/begging efforts if he wants back in! Good luck, MaSheen!

Would U like to see Two and a Half Men return without Charlie? Who do U think would be a good replacement?

Two and a half men won't be the same without Charlie Sheen, Charlie Sheen is Charlie Harper simple as nobody else will be as good as him. I don't care how fucked up he is, he makes two and a half men.

  2. 2

I have never known anyone who watches that terrible show anyways, it isn't funny at all!!

  3. 3

Agree it will never be the same, Charlie made the whole show, I could care less about the other characters. Exactly the show will get cancelled without Charlie Sheen involved.

  4. 4

I think my dad would cry if they stop showing reruns

  5. 5

The show's dead without Charlie. But of course the network is going to need a season of complete failure to realize that.

it was a great show, and its had a really good run. i dont know anyone who doesnt watch it, as its sustained high ratings over the years attest. however, its probably time to call it a day.

I love that show and it cracks me up, but it is the ensemble cast that makes it funny not just one guy (WackO) I say don't try and replace him. The character Charlie harper was a boozehound party animals, have that character die, and up the parts of everyone else. All Sheen did was a few snarky comments for laughs revolving around the res of the cast. This show could continue successfully if they don't act like we are stupid. Do not replace, have him die and everyone move on, can you imagine some of the comments from Rose, berta, and everyone else funny stuff. If Chuck Lorre needs some help figuring this out. I am available for consult

It's going to bomb. The egg they appear to want on Charlie's face will most assuredly end up on theirs. Sort it out with Charlie. Be the bigger leader. I don't have much faith in these suits managing to rise to that. I dare you.

I dont think the show will be as good without Charlie Sheen, he is just hilarious in it and I doubt I'll watch it, I hate when they change actors

Can't have that show with out Charlie. And Jon Cryer's character is the WORST part of that show. Buff up his role? Barf

The show won't be the same without Charlie Sheen, as they said. I won't watch it without him. The show needs all the ppl. there or no show. Theres nobody that can take his place and make the show work….Charlie Harper MAKES the show and the rest help it work. Without him, there is none.

i can't watch one episode of that one trick pony show. about as funny as "according to jim". dumb people need to laugh too. that's why they have a laugh track so they know when to laugh. 'modern family' or 'the office' don't use them. guess you have to have half a brain to understand why it's funny

  13. 13

Nope it wont continue without him. dont like the guy but he was the star of the show. chuck can fill it up with all his filler characters (like raj and howard in the big bang theory) but it will never be the same. OH well…time to move on.

  14. 14

    Bob Saget Pleeeaaazzzzeee!

  15. 15

I guess Masheen will always have his fan(atic)s, but in my humble opinion, the show should have a chance at being great! It was NEVER Charlie that made that show, it was the writing. Really great writers. Maybe they will get someone in there who knows how to 'act' as something other than themselves!

  16. 16

It won't last two episodes without Charlie Sheen. Just kiss and make up already so everyoe can keep making big money.

  17. 17

Eventually everything changes - with that being said how much longer could this show run it's course. I am going to miss watching Charlie, but was it the great writing combined with the right actor that made it work - and can it be recreated…it's going to be interesting how this finalizes.

  18. 18

the format was getting worn out. loved the show for years but it is time for it to go.

  19. 19

OMG I would totally watch that show if Woody Harrelson took over. I never thought Charlie was that funny on Two and a Half Men.

  20. 20

If Bob Saget is in it he could be Alan's homosexual lover and the name of the programme could be changed to my two dads.

  21. 21

I hope they can move ahead and do a great job without What's-his-name…..He doesn't deserve any consideration, and the rest of the cast and crew DO.

  22. 22

Jeremy Piven, NOT………Bob Saget NOT………..Woody maybe. And the show will not be the same without Charlie Insane but if they have good writers and good storylines and they don't REPLACE Charlie but write him off and put in a new character it could work. There have been numerous actors written off of shows and soaps and the show has gone on and stayed successful. I would give it a chance for the sake of all the other ppl related to the show so they don't loose their jobs.

Re: crickets – TOTALLY AGREE!! Charlie Sheen IS the show!! They wil ruin it without him on it!! I love to watch Charlie's expressions when he delivers his lines….they are priceless!!!

  24. 24

quite frankly, i will be kind of glad not to have to listen to charlie sheen's nasally whiny voice anymore … the deeper into drugs and prostitutes he gets, the whinier and more nasal he gets when he speaks … and it is the writers of the show who are brilliant, along with the entire cast … i'm not sure if the show will be able to continue after all this, and not because they no longer have charlie sheen, but because charlie sheen has gone so far off the deep end he kinda took the show with him to a certain extent … too bad he is so full of himself and so selfish he just ignores the long-term (and short-term) damage he is causing his children with his ridiculous rants and antics … not to mention the effect it is having on his body … he went from looking like he's 46 to looking like he's 56 in less than three months … oh, i guess he DOES still have some awesome talents :0)

  25. 25

I still think they should kill Charlie off, he leaves the house to Alan and then Alan gets into some financial trouble and has to have another family member move in. Cryer takes the lead as this new tenant is even more uptight and whiny than Alan and and so Alan begins acting more and more like Charlie…

  26. 26

It was what it was but it ain't no more so let it go. Those three douchebags can't save it.

  27. 27

The cast and the writing made that show great. Charlie won't be missed for long and the show can go on without him. I would watch it for sure to see how they do it!
