Chace Crawford just got really lucky.

He's made a pretty sweet deal in his marijuana possession case.

In case you don't remember, the Gossip Girl star was arrested in June 2010 after he was caught with weed in Plano, Texas. If convicted, Chace was facing a six month jail sentence.

Luckily for Mr. Nate Archibald, he will be doing no jail time whatsoever. In fact, the whole incident could be wiped completely clean.

If he performs 24 hours of community service, reports to his probation officer every month, and stays on the good side of the law for the next 12 months, the case will be dismissed and there will be no criminal offense on his record.

He is set to begin his community service during the summer.

Phew! Bet he's breathing a sigh of relief right now! This whole thing could have turned really nasty, but we guess he's getting off easy because it's a first time offense.

Let's just hope Chace remains a good boy for the rest of the year!

What do you mean "he got lucky"?? You're the last person to make moral judgments, Mario. That's so excessive for one joint in the car (he wasn't even high). Our judicial system is totally unbalanced. Just like you!

Re: RUReallySerious?? – Because he did get lucky. After all, having pot in your possession can result in some jail time.

Stating the truth is not passing moral judgement
