Who flipping cares!! Most of the UK dislike the royals for the drain on society. I wish someone gave me a 12million dollar a year allowance to do bullshit with. Screw the royals, they dont piss liquid gold…

Seriously? Circus? Far from it you idiot. God, you are so unkind.

I really enjoyed watching, she was beautiful!

Re: JerryLarry – Actually the cost to maintain the royal family is far less than the amount of money Britain makes out of them.

i love england and the brits, my brother and nephew are british, but this wedding coverage is infuriating. kate seems like a classy, intelligent woman and i respect the boys for changing the ways of the family, especially harry….serving in the military and essentially being one of the people. i admire the two sons for their humility and good will, they truly take after their mother and not their awful father or grandma. but how america is covering this event is sickening, i almost see it as treason (i'm being overdramatic, of course.) we founded this country to escape the royal family and their ways, so why are we kissing their ass and caring so much to cover this? call me overly patriotic but if the good soldiers who died fighting for this nation knew we were submissively catering to the news of that family, they would turn over in their graves. it makes me so angry. they refer to people as "commoners" for christ's sake. deplorable. this is america, who fucking cares what that family is doing. to care and publicize it only justifies that awful tradition.

I found watching this blessed event very uplifting

nobody's negative comments even matter with this, because the wedding was PERFECT! william and kate both deserve this, and they deserve to be happy. they are clearly both beautiful people and do wonderful things for others. diana would be so proud of william, and she would absolutely love kate. no waity katey! what a joke that was

Re: carisdee – i don't think we're kissing their asses, and what happened in the past is very outdated. that's just a country that holds onto tradition, and it's actually admirable. it's a beautiful country! i don't think william and kate think of people as "commoners" like they look down on others, so i wouldn't focus on that. don't the us and the uk typically support each other as far as foreign affairs?? seems like it, so maybe that's why - plus the whole world is interested in this! that's why it's covered so much

aww! they're so cute! and i love how Kate did her own makeup and still looks so beautiful!

It was a lovely ceremony. Loved watchin' it.

Re: hannahjane0140 – you make very valid points and you are right in that its a beautiful country and its holds onto many wonderful traditions. however, this particular tradition is of a class system that does in fact, refer to people as "commoners" if they do not hold some sort of important rank. the queen once actually referred to diana as a commoner. they hold no power in govt anymore and yet they hold such power because of this stupid tradition, a tradition that if you asked a lot of brits, would tell you is stupid and outdated.

tradition that is admirable is not one that looks down on others for not being royal, sovereign, or rich, but rather when it involves that passing of valued customs that keep cultural, religious, family, etc., traditions alive to remember and honor a past in which you are proud. their tradition is merely full of dictatorships, war, corruptions, and again, a class system. yes, we have class systems here in america, but seriously, would you want to live in a country, 2011 mind you, where you would have to bow down to a person because "tradition" deemed them as royal and you not? and if you didn't you could be punished?

Re: hannahjane0140 – and i agree, i think kate and william seem very admirable and don't think of themselves as superior. in fact, i think they are changing the ways of the royal family. but the issue remains there is still a royal family. however, as i do not live there and do not plan to, my issue is not with them nor with england. its with the american media. yes the uk and usa are allies, just as we are with monaco, sweden and norway, but did you see the media covering the wedding of any of their princes? the fact of the matter is we have a deep rooted history with englands royal family in regards to our founding and for me personal, it just rubs me the wrong way. more specifically, as someone in one the 8 southern states affected by the storms, i think focus should be on that, not on a wedding in another country.

they didn't throw rice or pedals to them like they did for princess Diana wedding. FYI her sister shouldn't have worn white to the wedding.

  15. 15

Re: kittypurr21 – I thought that too about her sister but she looked gorgeous! She really out shined Kate I think. She has a better body than Kate and her dress really showed it off but yeah it shouldn't have been white. Kate was beautiful of course but really common I think

Re: starstrukk47 – Her old friends have said that William has married an absolute diamond. That is not so 'common.' Hooray for them both!

  17. 17

Re: starstrukk47 – It's tradition for bridesmaids to wear white, like the bride.

  18. 18

Well, since comments aren't allowed on the "Princess Eugenie & Beatrice Try To Upstage The Bride" post, I'll post my opinion here… they are NOT wearing FASCINATORS, moron! Those are HATS! Learn what a fascinator is before commenting, you complete and utter fool. Also, both looked gorgeous, although your fashion sense wouldn't know good if it smacked you across the face.

  19. 19

Re: @v@ – I said she did look beautiful but nothing about her attire really screamed "royalty." I feel like if the dress or even just the veil would have been a bit more septactular it would have been amazing. But I think if you took her out of England and plopped her in a wedding in middle America she would have fit right in

Re: Serena Loves Mario – Ah ok thank you for that! That makes sense :)

Re: starstrukk47 – I liked her simple and understated approach. Her whole family wore understated and simple elegance, and I thought they were all the very best dressed bar everyone. Less is more, and portrays true class, bank accounts aside, even if they live in Bucklebury.

Am I the only one who noticed the runaway horse? At 3:05 to the right of the procession is a riderless horse being calmed. At 3:16 it runs into the horses following the carriage. At 3:36 it runs behind the carriage. There is already a rider you can see on the side of the carriage where it is heading and I lose it after that.
