Not Cool, Rick Springfield! Jessie's Girl Singer Gets a DUI

rick springfield gets a dui

During season three of Showtime's Californication, Rick Springfield was portrayed in a less-than-flattering light. Looks like he's living up to that on-screen persona…

80's rock star/Jessie's Girl singer Rick Springfield was arrested on Sunday night for a DUI in Los Angeles.

Police sources say he was pulled over for a traffic violation, "performed poorly" on sobriety tests, and was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.

His BAC level was .10, which is above the California legal limit of .08.

Drinking and driving is NOT COOL, Rick Springfield! Hopefully you've learned your lesson.

It can get really annoying when you talk down to people who get DUIs….sometimes the nicest people can get them for making one wrong mistake. It doesn't make them horrible beings (unless they kill then thats another thing)

GOD, man, why can't aging stars just grow old gracefully??! do they have any idea how messed up they look with all the crappy face-work and embarrassing hairplugs?! EW, rick - stop it already. there's nothing wrong with aging, dumbass. you look like a fool with that face-lift, dyed fake hair and dyed goatee. NO ONE THINKS YOU'RE 35 ANYMORE.

FYI, anyone living in Arizona, the legal limit is NOT .08. That's the second tier violation. The law actually states that you cannot be impaired to the slightest degree and operate a motor vehicle. This not only includes alcohol, but illegal and prescription drugs as well. In practicality, if you have a .04 or under, they will probably let you go, but they may not. Be very careful out there. It's safest not to get behind the wheel at all if you had had a drink in the previous hour.

Not that I'm condoning drunk driving (I wouldn't even drive after one beer), but 0.1 is not a very high BAC and this doesn't necessarily make him a terrible person or the person he portrayed in Californication. He wasn't shit-faced when he got behind the wheel, Mario. He probably had just one too many drinks and misjudged his drunkenness.
