So sad and disturbing.
Former Playboy playmate/B-movie actress Yvette Vickers was found dead at her Los Angeles home last week.
Based on the mummified state of her body, police believe she could have been there for months, or even close to a year.
No word yet on an official cause of death, but foul play is not suspected.
Vickers' body was discovered by actress neighbor Susan Savage, who became suspicious when she saw yellowing letters and cobwebs in Vickers' mailbox.
Susan entered her neighbor's home, which was "in disrepair," and she found the former Playboy playmate's unrecognizable body on the floor.
Here's what Susan had to say about Yvette Vickers:
"She kept to herself, had friends and seemed like a very independent spirit. To the end she still got cards and letters from all over the world requesting photos and still wanting to be her friend."
"We've all been crying about this. Nobody should be left alone like that."
Such an incredibly sad story. We're just glad her body was finally discovered so she can be properly laid to rest.
