We imagine this is going to be an extremely emotional, powerful moment for most Americans.

In the wake of Osama bin Laden's death early Monday, President Barack Obama will be visiting Ground Zero in lower Manhattan this Thursday, May 5th, to meet with the families of those the terrorist killed in the 9/11 attacks on the Twin Towers and Pentagon.

Hopefully this will serve as a comfort to all of those who have been living with the weight of that man's horrific acts on their shoulders for so many years.

We sincerely hope that this victory for the country will give them some peace of mind.

Pres Obama is the real hero.
He killed Ben Laden and not the monkey Bush.

So happy Perez Hilton loves Pres. Obama as much as we all do.

Nice to have a great news and Hollywood site to lean on.

All the Hollywood stars are Pres. Obama supporters because they are smarter than the average Joe Sixpack in America. That's why they are stars and you are NOT.

uh huh… where he'll smile at all the cameras, fake his sympathy and try to make this all political. If he really feels badly for all those lives lost, why doesn't he tell the 'Iman' that no mosque will be built close to ground zero… yeah, that's what i thought, just more bullshit

As a New Yorker and an American I want to see the bin Laden "death pictures" before I see Obama on Thursday. To those that don't want to see the pictures they can shut off the tv or just look away. I want to see as much proof that bin Laden is dead ….I don;t want to wait 2years like we all did to see the birth certificate.

It is arrogant that Americans assume that now that one terrorist is dead that there are not more where he came from. Have fun celebrating the death of an enemy, something bigger is coming and I'm afraid to know what.

Re: SimpleBear – Actually Obama personally asked Bush to appear with him at Ground Zero but Bush declined the offer. And really do you think that referring to Bush as a monkey is no different then people who refer to Obama as a monkey? Grow up you moron

Milk it dude. Work that saunter and smile.

We all know the military knew where Osama was for years, but Obama decided to get the press bump now for his campaign. We were having too much fun fucking with Afghanistan to kill Osama any earlier.

Kinda hard to feel smug when it cost us 7,000 dead soldiers and 1.4 TRILLION dollars to get there… ten years late none the less. Not to mention the fact we killed 150,000 civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan who had nothing to do with Osama Bin Laden or 911. Aren't we so smart and awesome?

Yeah, we are the Champions of the World. Obama is our king. Keep on warring with the middle east and killing in the name of freedom!

I would like to see Bush should return to the site, as 9/11 was probably the biggest day of his presidency. It would be so moving to see him return to the spot after the troops' accomplishments. I'm not an Obama hater though! He makes wonderful speeches and will do a great job.

what a bunch of american bullshit they said he was dead years ago where is the body u assholes…asshole assholes just a bunch of absolute asshole crap and lies

  10. 10

Sad how blindly some people swallow the lies they tell on television. Do you think all tv shows are real too? Osama has been dead for years, his body has been being held for years until it was the right time to announce his "murder". It's very convenient that when Obama's ratings are at their lowest, and on the eve of the Canadian election - the news breaks that Osama has been killed. There is no proof, he was laid to rest respectfully at sea. Bullshit!!! People need to do their homework and find out the truth from the non-mainstream media such as: www.globalresearch.ca

Hmmmm would like to see the body to put conspiracy theories to bed and to try to dispel international notion that he is still alive . . . I am NOT happy with Obama's performance these last 2 1/2 years BUT President Obama made a gutsy decision by sending the Seals in–BRAVO-it was risky and I am glad he did it. He really showed leadership in this instance. Inviting Bush to the ceremony was also a good decision. Obama did good but it was policies put forth by his predecessor that made it possible–it is a shared victory–Mr. Obama spoke against (at one time) many of the tatics that made the mission possible–perhaps he changed his mind–if so BRAVO to him on that too! However, he still has 2 1/2 years of bad, bizarre, inconsistence policies that DO NOT reflect what many AMERICANS want from their government. Maybe he is learning? or maybe he is playing politics?? He did good this last week–but I don't trust the direction he is taking America in and I pray a fiscally responsible leader will emerge that will focus on the deficit, spending controls, restructuring of entitlements programs, repealing of Obamacare for REAL sustainable health care reform and a cohesive consistent foreign policy . . . If President Obama totally changed the direction he has gone in the last 2 1/2 years then I would vote for him . . .

    Congrats President Obama!

We no longer refer to it as "ground zero" and we call it The World Trade Center Site. It's a more positive term. Obama obviously has some contribution to the mission that resulted in Bin Laden's death but Bush was the one who got the ball rolling. It would be nice to see some credit given to all of those involved. Doesn't anyone think this whole thing is a little fishy? Obama really needed an approval rating boost and then all of sudden this happens. I have nothing but respect and admiration for our president but something doesn't seem right.
