National Geographic has a new show on right now called Taboo. The docu-series follows individuals with, shall we say, unique lifestyles where the lines of reality and fantasy are nearly non-exsistent.
Allow us to introduce you to Stanely. Stanley is 29-years-old, has a job and works hard for all the things that he wants. Thing is, the things that he wants include a binky, bib and a suck on a bottle before nighty-night time!
Stanley likes to pretend he's a baby and he's taken his fetish, if you will, to the extreme. He had a giant customized crib made for himself to sleep in, lives with a woman that has assumed the "mother" role in his life and…he wears a diaper. Ewww!!!

This strikes me as a bit hypocritical. The religious homophobes you rail against see being gay as something that needs therapy, yet you're treating this man the same way. If you're going to preach tolerance of alternative lifestyles, you need to practice it too.
If you saw it.. you'd see that he DOESN'T work. He's "disabled" (yet he was able to build himself a high chair) and gets government checks for his disability. I only hope that SOMEONE from a government office who can determine whether or not this man is really disabled watches it. First of all, NOT a new show! It's been on the air since 2002. And why??? Obviously, Perez, you didn't actually watch the show (probably because its not Glee or Gossip Girl, its actually educational!) The why is because this man suffered terrible abuse as a child and was never able to enjoy his childhood, unlike so many lucky people in this world. He is now able to pretend that he is a child as HIS form of therapy. For this man, his baby play is NOT a fetish at all. He explained this. It is a way for him to relieve stress, it is NOT a sexual thing for him. Yeah, its weird, but everybody is weird in their own way. Big fucking deal! People shouldn't judge until they hear a person's story. I was watching this last night and I too was quite confused n disturbed, until the man explained why. Actually, "Taboo" has been on the air for quite awhile and it's not just about things like that. It explores all types of things the Western world considers taboo - whether it's infantilism or tribal body modification (like the "neck lengthening" and extreme piercings certain tribes practice).
The show isn't "new". It's been on for years.

This post seems really judgmental. There happens to be a good number of people who enjoy this. I'm not one of them, but I've read the stories and seen a bit of the pornography. To each their own. Just because something is weird and unfamiliar to you does not mean it is unacceptable altogether. If it doesn't hurt anyone, let it be. I know that I personally can truly relate to finding comfort in things that many may think are odd. You have one life and should live it the way that makes you happy.
