Newly-Married Duchess Catherine Taking Some Time Away From The Public Eye!

We don't blame her for wanting to take a bit of a break! The last few months must have been so STRESSFUL!

Now that Kate Middleton has married into the Royal Family as the Duchess of Cambridge, sources close to the new bridge have revealed that she has no immediate plans to become a full-time royal, and will most likely hold off for about two years, because she wants to focus on being a normal wife to her husband, Prince William!

Apparently, much like the Queen, who lived in Malta as a Newlywed for two years when Prince Philip was based there with the Navy, Kate wants to take some time away from the public eye and take on a 'supporting role' as an 'ordinary RAF wife' while the couple live in a rented farmhouse in North Wales, and pursue 'other interests.'

The insider explains:

"The couple will do things as a pair after their marriage and for the foreseeable future. Catherine will not be conducting any solo engagements. The number of engagements she does with William will remain pretty level. Prince William has a full-time job he has to work round and that is his priority. He is committed to it for at least another two years so nothing much will change in the immediate future, apart from the fact that he and Catherine will take part in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations next year. He is already committed to a number of charitable patronages and Catherine will, initially at least, support him in that as his wife. She will, in time, become associated with her own charities but this won’t happen immediately as she wants to explore the fields that interest her first. Catherine wants to enjoy her time with William as an RAF wife. It’s so rare that someone in her position gets the chance to live as a normal wife and she intends to make the most of it."

Agreed!

We imagine it's got to be a lot to marry into the Royal Family, and we're thrilled that she has the opportunity to get used to it privately before she's expected to jump into the public eye.

Enjoy this time, gurl, and best of luck adjusting to married life!

We think you two are going to be very happy together!

I think that's awesome. She's probably also still learning about royal life and etiquette, so good for her. She will probably be preggers by years end, though, and I wish her nothing but the best.

She doesn't need your approval, fatback

that's pretty cool she is allowed to do it. lucky girl. really happy for her! :-)

Good for her. I bet they are being really careful with her and supporting her as much as possible history doesn't repeat itself. I wish them a long life together of health, happiness and adventure!!

I hope she is pregnant soon! Royal babies would be awesome!

Hopefully the public will respect her desires and leave her be for some time. Every couple needs time to adjust to married life, not just royals. I couldn't imagine how difficult it must be to be in the public eye - all celebs are practically hunted by paps, it's sad. They're just people like you and me.

Glad she is taking time off - girl needs to eat! too skinny…

Re: unreal5511 – It wasn’t approval it’s called opinion. Dummy..

Just call it like it is; she will be going to the gym, and then will get pregnant. It is as joke to call her a 'normal wife'. And an insult to married women (even in their 20's) who work for a living.

This is exactly what "The Firm" should have done when Diana married Charles. Let he just be a wife and mum for two or moer years. Instead they threw her to the wolves to face the mobs by herself. Charles wasn't any help. But William is taking control and letting Catherine take her time. Focus on each other first, maybe have a baby. I hope the media and the public don't complain. I know they would like to see Catherine and all, but she is first a new wife that needs to ensure her husband doesn't go wandering off because she's so busy doing a visit or public outing.

They have a right to some private couple time. An article said that the Queen considered the couple of years she spent just being Phillip's wife when he was posted to Malta were amongst the happiest in her life. Imagine that, your time actually being her own. I have great empathy for them all.

Good for her! She should be allowed to take some time off!
