The We Can’t Stop singer interviewed with Rolling Stone magazine for their July 4th issue, and revealed her fairly liberal thoughts on drugs and alcohol.
Given her stoner reputation, we’re not totally surprised. Though, when asked to clarify her penchant for weed, she said:
"You can't ask someone that and expect them to say yes... I did a song with Snoop Dogg called 'Ashtrays and Heartbreaks,' so people can put it together for themselves."
That sounds fairly straightforward to us. Mileybird then went ahead to state that she thinks there are things much, much worse than a little bit of the green stuff:
"I think alcohol is way more dangerous than marijuana -- people can be mad at me for saying that, but I don't care... I've seen a lot of people spiral down with alcohol, but I've never seen that happen with weed."
She added:
"As long as it isn't illegal, there are far more dangerous things. And it's legal in the state of California. So I'm happy to live in California, a place where you can be whoever you want to be."
Well, Miley, marijuana isn’t exactly legal in California unless you have a prescription, so we’re not entirely sure what you mean. But, okay...

This may have a different beat, have a different look, different costumes & choreography but in essence, this is still Gaga trying to be Madonna…using religion & controversy to draw attention but unlike Madonna, she has nothing to say. Like A Prayer was an epic video, one of the best of all time but this Judas video is just a lot of…nothing. Jean Paul Gautier was right…Gaga has memorized Madonna's playbook. What next…a highly sexual song & video. Poor Gaga…can't do anything original. Not really her fault…Madonna has just done everything first…and much better.

Like A Prayer was great eye and ear candy, but exactly what was this "deep message?" Not saying there's one here in Judas, but I always hear, "at least Madonna had something to say," when I all I saw back then is her doing the same thing people are accusing Lady GaGa of doing: Controversy first so I'll mix up a lot of religious imagery and shake it up in a blender, the deep message will come as an afterthought.

the blonde hair, biker chic, bandanas, sweaty group dance, leather boots etc gave me some serious Christina Aguilera "Dirrty" flashbacks when they first started dancing. I don't know why they had so much dancing in the video when she's a terrible dancer. Her hair makeup at times also gave me Christina/Lady Marmalade flashbacks, so prepare for the Dee Snider comparisons Gaga. Her black & white hair at the end reminded me of when Christina raccoon tipped her hair in 1999. Don't like the song, don't like the video, but she did get one thing right. NORMAN REEDUS!!!!!!! He was the only thing that made this watchable, IMO.

For my own reasons I really love this video and song. For those of you saying she copies Madonna….if you hate GaGa so much and adore Madonna then why would you want to insult Madonna by admitting that GaGa lives up to the copy of Madonna. Just accept that GaGa is who she is and Madonna is great for who she is as well. They are nothing alike. Both are wonderful but appeared at different times. Can you live with that? It works.

I would love to see videos with consistent tones, videos that don't appear to be some director and/or artists trying to show off by throwing in every type of shot, every look, every outfit, every setting they can think of, seemingly at random. Some of it would be striking if they didn't keep intercutting with something that appears to just be "hey, we thought of it so let's do it for a few seconds." And they seemed to feel obligated to include more of that cliched ensemble choreography that everyone had been doing for 25 years, now long since drained of any significance.
