David Spade's Giving Back To The Tornado Relief Efforts

Very generous! C'mon, Hollywood! More of you need to do this!

David Spade is hero to those in the midwestern and southeastern parts of the United States who late last month were left devastated by the over 178 tornados that ripped through that part of the country. The actor has pledged a donation of $200,000 to the American Red Cross for disaster relief and with that, released this statement, saying:

"With the devastating disasters the tornadoes and floods are causing I wanted to help the Red Cross in their efforts to provide help as quickly as possible. I also hope this will help to shine the spotlight on the people of the United States who are in desperate need right now and that others will join me in donating what they can to support the American Red Cross’ huge disaster relief effort."

Bravo, David. A donation like this is going to do a lot of good for the poor people whose lives have been forever changed by this tragedy. We truly hope more people follow in your footsteps and offer as much assistance as they can.

Nothing's too little! Give what you can!

Big time kudos to David. The money that these ppl in "the business" makes they should all get together and do something in a big way. Their paychecks are way over what they are worth so they should put some of that over payment to a good cause. Re: Rebecca Malin – And rebecca I have to agree with you. The media has downsized the devistation of these storms. Ridiculous. The Royal Wedding was more important to ppl than the deaths of over 300 ppl and the loss of everything for so many families. No one in this world has their priorities right anymore. Nobody.

PH you could help people that need jobs by just mentioning National Hiring Day #3 coming up that calls for voluntary corporate patriotism to help the country. National Hiring Day #3 is suggested for May 19, 2011. This is a day that corporations are encouraged to hire new employees. Corporations are called on to put patriotism first and help their country in hard times. Those corporations that cannot hire, are asked to stop firing for that month.
