Office Ratings Fall Hard Without Steve Carell

It was to be expected, especially since last week the audience count was at an all-time high to see him go.

The numbers are in and last night's episode of The Office, the first without Steve Carell as the boss, dipped in the ratings by 17 percent. With only 2.7 million viewers tuning it, it garnered the show a meger 1.1 standing in the key 18-49 demo.

No surprise, American Idol was #1, up 7 percent from Wednesday's show and up 6 percent in total viewers (20.8 million vs. 19.6 million)

Sad face. They better put a new boss in there soon! It doesn't seem like the show will be able to stay afloat amidst such uncertainty.

This is for the repeat episode. The one without Steve Carell got a 3.5 with 6.7 million viewers

Not surprising. The show was stupid and mean spirited. Will adds nothing and should be gone soon before he ruins it completely.

I didnt even know it was new last night, maybe that was everyone's issue…..

I watched it. I love the regular cast- Jim, Dwight, Pam, etc, etc. They were all great. Will? No. I've disliked his character since he started. I'm hoping they ultimately go with someone else. I think the show has a good shot but Will is just bad.

HEY FUCKTARD, learn how to spell! One would think that given all the cash you make from ripping off other sites you'd be able to afford to take some courses on the English language. Otherwise, hire some 12 year old to proofread your illiterate self.

As hard as it is to say, but i believe THE OFFICE will not survive without Steve Carell…if it does won't be more than one more season and that'll be it !!!!

Re: Fashionlover90 – ABSOLUTELY RIGHT! It was a pretty good episode, and I thought I would miss Steve like crazy. I didn't very much though.

Did anyone think that maybe because Thursday night everyone was out drinking their brain cells away for CINCO DE MAYO that perhaps they weren't sitting on their fat asses watching the office? Maybe its just bad timing and not the fact the steve carell is gone.
