Gleeks! The Songs From Prom Queen Have Arrived!

| Filed under: AdeleGleeLea MicheleDarren CrissChristina PerriJonathan Groff

And to be honest, we're disappointed. Very disappointed.

We're disappointed, because this is the episode in which the Gleeks are supposed to be covering Rebecca Black's Internet classic, Friday - and we don't have it! It hasn't been released yet - and it's Friday!!!

The world just doesn't make sense!

What we do have, however, are the five other songs that will be featured on next week's episode of Glee, "Prom Queen." You've read the spoilers, now let's get to the music!

We'll kick things off with an interesting twist on on Adele's huge hit, Rolling In The Deep, performed by Lea Michele and (holding our breath!!!) Jonathan Groff. Check out the video (above) to have a listen to their ACAPELLA cover.

We still maintain that no one can do the song quite like Miz Adele herself, but props to the two of them for doing something new with it to make it their own.

Now, for the rest! Click the jump to hear Kevin McHale croon out a semi-acapella version of Stevie Wonder's Isn't She Lovely, a group performance of ABBA's Dancing Queen, Darren Criss sing the Black Kids' track I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You and finally, Princess Lea performing Christina Perri's Jar Of Hearts.

Have at it, kiddies!

Friday has been released, just look around a little more.

Glee is the only thing on earth that hasn`t gotten over Rebecca Black`s friday. No wonder nobody wants to watch that show anymore, it`s supposed to be a comedy and I can barely watch 5 minutes without having to turn it off because I can`t stand it.

Lea's Jar of Hearts is my favorite, but I love this twist on Rolling in the Deep. It's great to hear Lea singing with someone who have hold his own with her.

they made "i'm not gonna teach your boyfriend how to dance with you" sound like it should be on kidz bop.

Rolling in the Deep is horrendous.

I don't get the fascination with Jonathan Groff. He has zero charisma and his singing is karaoke at best.

  7. 7

    That sounds awful.

  8. 8

AMAZING! It's gonna be one hell of an episode!!!

  9. 9

    Acapella. I'm pretty into it.

  10. 10

Glee didn't put this twist on the song, John Legend covered Rolling in the Deep and this was his version. Staff writers need to do their homework.

Ugh that Rolling Deep sounded like watery sh*t. Wtf she can't sing every god damn song. I think this song would have suited someone with a soulful voice like Naya or even Amber.

  12. 12

Lea's Jar of Hearts is A-MAZZZING. I can't wait. Totally bummed they did Friday. Even tho it does sound better, I HATE the fact they even did it to begin with

  13. 13

Why Am I a big Gleek
Head Im 38 and my son loves the show..he dances to all the songs..by the way he is only 2!

  14. 14

Raveandrant is correct: John Legend did a terrific a capella version of Rolling in the Deep that stands on its own. Any true Adele fanatic would know that.
The problem with Lea and Jonathan's a capella duet is that it sounds terrible. Their cover of a cover won't win many fans for Adele or John Legend.

    Dear Perez,

They're covering John Legends cover of Rolling In The Deep…

Give credit where credit is due.

    THAT'S why it's acapella.

  16. 16

I hope Heather dances to Dancing Queen.. That could be pretty epic I think :)

Re: codogan38555 – Agreed, I think Naya Rivera should have sung Rolling in the deep. Lea just can't pull it off…
