The midnight numbers are in - but they pale in comparison to what the studio is expecting for the weekend.

Thor managed to rake in $3.25 Million last night just from midnight showings of the flick. At this rate, the studios are predicting a $60+ million domestic weekend opening for Marvel/Disney/Paramount super movie.

Wow! That would be one hell of an opening!!! Fingers crossed for you, Chris!!!

Very good film all in all. The Asgard and space scenes were pretty incredible. But when Thor is banished to Earth, it drags a bit and is kind of kitchy corny faux 'middle of the desert' americana which should probably be defined by now as 'racist' but of course the people and patrons are white. That said, there was only one, really big problem with this movie, actually two. Natalie Portman and her annoying chicky scientist friend. The two of these low rate, low rent spoiled actors easily downgrade this film from A to a B. Amateur hour. GREAT Loki and he will be an excellent villain in the Avengers film, but I thought Loki would be more brauny like Thor?

Is it just me or did they photoshop his Hammer to make it appear bigger then is actually is.

Well the reason why he dosen't look like his brother is..watch the movie. and I think Mario ( Prez) was in the screening I saw there were a bunch of high pitched screams when they showed thor without his shirt on.. like being at a Justing Bieber concert for a minute or two..

THOR! was FANTASTIC!! I loved every minute of it. Natalie P.,her assistant & Stellan S. added the 'human mortal' comic relief element to the film. It did not "drag" as suggested by the person on this site! I saw it on IMAX 3D and it blew me away!! And I hate 3D. Will see it again in conventional filming to compare…

Re: AriBlue – Please, I was expecting a light saber to pop out of Portman's dry acting.

Saw this movie & loved it. Wouldn't mind seeing it again. Love Chris & Natalie, fan of both these amazing actors. Of course it does not hurt that Chris is a bit of eye candy either.
