Considering this was based on a true story, I find nothing amusing about child abuse.

  2. 2

This is not remotely funny. I'm surprised Perez would make light of violence. If the music had started way earlier in the video, maybe they could have made it comical, but this is just sad.

  3. 3

You are one sick fuck if you actually thought this was HIGHlarious. You find striking a child funny? You have some serious mental issues, something is really wrong with you. No wonder you're still having date nights with Momma.

  4. 4

That has got to be the most unpleasant 'minced angst' of a compilation I have ever been subjected to.

Whoever made that has serious issues and no - its not funny in the slightest.

  5. 5

I LOVED it! a bit inappropriate for Mothers day lol, but I still loved it!!! "NOOOO wire HANGERSSSSS!!! HAHAHAHAH LOVE IT!!!

  6. 6

    ummm…what the hell? horrible

  7. 7

LOL! The only think funnier than this movie are people who find it offensive. Lol. Get over yourselves. This is one of the (unintentionally) funniest movies ever. It's very big with the gay community since its release in 1981 (or so) for its overt-the-top dialogue. Those who find it offensive probably have never seen it or are from this overly politically correct generation where you can't say boo without being sued. And, yes, the wire hanger seen is CLASSIC scene. NO WIRE HANGERS! And, of course: Don't FUCK with me FELLAS! Lol. This has been on youtube for a long, long time.

  8. 8

Goodness, there's nothing funny about that.

    **********
As a mother of three small children, who are the most important thing in the world to me , i don't find the highlarity in that Perez! What is hilarious about child abuse!
    YIKES
Get your " bullying" in check , cuz to even show this is pathetic!

    DISGUSTING! and DISTURBING?
Please tell us what is so funny about that !>? I really would like to know ! You are really pathetic!
    Get your act together!

  10. 10

You may be surprised to learn this, but it's spelled 'Mommie Dearest;' the film and book share the same spelling.

  11. 11

Re: Canuckfuck – lol, well thank goodness I'm not the only one that got all up in arms about this clip. i thought it was funny. I grew up in the 80's (born in 78) and my mom and I used to watch this movie every time it was on, so the "no wire hangers" scene always gave us a good little laugh. Hell even to this day if a wire hanger some how makes it into my closet I can't help but yell "NO WIRE HANGERS" LOL!

  12. 12

Moorio, do you think people that were abused as children find this "HIGHlarious"? And posting this on Mother's Day? You've sunk to a new low.

  13. 13

But remember Perez is the one who keeps screaming that "violence is never the answer"

  14. 14

I'm sure you're not aware, but it's spelled 'Mommie Dearest;' the book and film share the same spelling.

  15. 15

Did anyone else find this a little scary?

  16. 16

Wow this has been on youtube for years now. Way to be current meth boy.

  17. 17

This is not funny. What's wrong with you?

  18. 18

Perez you brought out good ol' Joan Crawford "aka BOX OFFICE POISON" on Mother's Day??? lol Ok, while the content is certainly not funny, the ACTING is HILARIOUS! Her facial expressions are priceless! Especially the scene w/ Joan in the gray suit, shoulder pads, curled hair, and clown makeup. omg, I laugh soooo hard over that scene every time. Faye Dunaway deserved an Oscar for her portrayal of Joan :D

  19. 19

    Hilarity?

Boy, you're really in a privileged position, being able to tell people what is too serious to be joked about and what can.

Child abuse. Yeah, hilarious. Hollywood real-life child abuse set to music. Even funnier.

    Shame on you.

  20. 20

as a victim of child abuse I became very depressed after seeing the original film. my heart and soul shared the same pain as Christina.
you think wire hangers are funny, well they're not when you're being beaten with one
you think the bathroom scene is funny but it's not if you're the one who's getting beat because there's one spec of dirt, or you forgot the trash
chills run down my spine and the hairs on the back of my neck stand up when I watch the vodka being poured in the glass b/c I'm not sure how many have been poured and when the violence will begin. to run and hide only gets you in more trouble for you're viewed more as a possession and servant than as an loved dependent, a child.
how would you like to grow up not having loving parents but two who you're never sure if the hand is going to hurt you or pretend affection.
it only made me stronger and " I DON'T TRUST PRETTY "

  21. 21

dude, this has been playing at splash in nyc for 20 years….way to be up on the trends….

  22. 22

i think as a flaming gay ass you'd know it's spelled MOMMIE!! what a disgrace to flamers you are!! and for those of you upset by this, get the fuck over it, it's a movie based on supposed real life events, chill the fuck out!!

  23. 23

o people calm down its funny!! and a joke.

  24. 24

This movie was universally panned and pretty much ended Faye Dunaway's career when it first came out because it was so over the top. No one takes it seriously, even today, which is why it's become such a camp classic. These same self-righteous whiners who are complaining about this clip (which is pretty old, and has been circulating on YouTube for years) are the same ones who just complain about everything Perez posts, but yet you still come to his site. There's also a clip on YouTube compiled of catfights taken from the TV show "Dynasty" featured to Madonna's "Give It 2 Me" that's more funny, but I'm sure some of you would complain it's too violent for your tastes as well.

  25. 25

I am concerned that people have become so emotionally desensitised that they find something this horrific, amusing. I applaud those who find this clip disconcerting and urge those who do not, to reconsider.

  26. 26

    Tina! Bring be the axe!

  27. 27

didn't you just post a clip from the gossip girl and you were bitching about how it's too violence and inappropriate and irresponsible for them to show? wow talk about mix messages.

  28. 28

Re: GoodBoyNC – You are missing the point, you idiot. Perez when on this whole campaign against violence, then he posts this on Mother's Day. Grow a brain, please.

We're just calling him out on his hypocrisy.

  29. 29

Re: tgmgRe: tgmgRe: tgmg – I made the video. Thanks Perez for posting this. I can't tell you how many people have had issues with my edit. I even had on guy come in my DJ booth and say "I work for child services and I don't find this amusing one bit" I got on the mic and said "Tina Bring Me The Axe" security came and escorted him out of the club. That movie is not based on fact. Nothing was ever proven and it was all hearsay. It was 2 bitter kids word against a dead women that excluded them from her will. But the movie is a masterpiece, A work of cinematic art, And practically a musical because if you watch and listen carefully Joan (Faye Dunnaway) doesn't just say the lines she practically sings them in tone holding the lines and extending it for dramatic effect. It's as camp as Christmas. She was robbed of an Oscar that year. So I am sorry that a few of you can only see the negative "alleged" child abuse in this video when there is so much more to this video, And in all fairness Tina admits she was not one of her faaaaaaaaaaaaaaans.

    Re: Danny Morris

You're right on target, Danny Morris. Keep up the good work and entertain us!

  32. 32

Danny, is brilliant. I remember when he made this video,(we have been friends for many many years) quite a few years back. one of the funniest things still today. I love how danny's mind thinks. This was done for fun, amusement and just being creative. I think the one's that consider this appauling…you have no sense of humour, would you say the same about Kathy Griffin, Wanda Sykes, Lisa Lampanelli or any other comic poking fun of anything not "politically correct". That IS what comedy and creative freedom is about! It was a MOVIE folks….Fiction…because it was just a one sided story of something that was not proved to be true…..Danny I love you and keep creating the excellence that you do…..always your SisterSin!

  33. 33

Re: sistersin – Well said SisterSin

  34. 34

Oh My God!! (sorry if I just offended someone with that) People need to get a grip. It was funny. I know Danny and he was in no way glorifying violence or abuse. Get over yourselves. Having been abused as a child I see no relation between this video and what happened to me or anyone else. Its a song and a movie put together in a talented and creative way. Laughing at yourself and situations in your life can be healing to some people.

  35. 35

Well said Bobby, Sister Sin & Villedonna. Bobby I can't tell you how many time I have heard people say to me "I was abused as a child and this in no way offends me" I feel if you have a problem with the child abuse it is a personal issue between you and your abuser. Those are issues only that person can work out. But don't take it out on this video. It was made to make people laugh. In no way was my intention for people to become scared from watching this and bring back painful memories.

  36. 36

re: Sisterin No matter how you try to rationalize your opinion, this clip is still the end result of the glamourization of human suffering, alleged or otherwise.

  37. 37

    Re: unreal5511
Well, your avatar pic is appropriate, since it appears you have had a lobotomy sometime in your life. You really think Perez takes heed to you calling out his hypocrisy? Who are you supposed to be anyway? What is so hypocritical about posting this video? You all are acting like this is actual footage of a beating. It's called 'acting." If YOU Had a brain, you'd realize this, dumbass!
Furthermore, if you all are so gung-ho against violence, why stop here? Let's see you become advocates against ALL violence in television, movies, music, etc., and not just some clip from some 30 year old movie.

  38. 38

GoodBoyNC doth protest too much methinks.

  39. 39

GoodBoyNC is exactly right. To be fair this was a movie to raise awareness about child abuse. I'ts only acting and no one was harmed in the making of this video.

  40. 40

    Re: be strong
Your posts outnumber mine on this subject, so who's the one protesting too much?

  41. 41

re: GoodBoyNC, I have my opinion and you have yours. You are right about one thing, though. We are 40 comments, 24 pages and almost four days in. It's time to agree to disagree.
