Sounds about right. He's finishing up Men In Black III now - next he needs to do a serious role. Back and forth, that's the Big Willie style!
As Quentin Tarantino is hoping to get his new western flick off the ground soon, he's starting to really think about casting the thing. We've learned that Will Smith is emerging as the frontrunner for the role as the slave in Django Unchained. The inneresting film tells the story of a slave in the Old South who teams with a German bounty hunter to search for his wife.
Tons of shenanigans to be had with that, we're sure.
This sure would be a very different role for Will than he has had in the past, but we kind of think it would be a good step for him. Sure, maybe his sillier movies make more money than his serious ones, but its films like this that will finally get him an Oscar - and we think he'd like that!
