Not So Fast! Judge Orders Additional Briefing In Charlie Sheen/Two & A Half Men Case

| Filed under: Legal MattersCharlie Sheen

Settle in folks. This case is going to take awhile.

You might've forgotten since he has so many things going on these days, but Charlie Sheen still intends to sue Warner Bros. and Two and a Half Men executive producer Chuck Lorre for $100 lawsuit. The case hasn't made any headway though, because Charlie wants the hearing to made public (for obvious reasons) while the studio (for equally obvious reasons) does not.

Yesterday, a decision could have been made on the matter, but the judge overseeing the case insisted he wanted each side to submit additional arguments. Thus, the case has been pushed back again, with a new deadline set at May 18th to submit all materials. That means we'll probably get a ruling near the end of this month.

We can't help but wonder if the judge is just humoring Charlie with all this? Let's get real - this case has no business being in a public forum. Charlie just wants as much attention as he can get. But maybe if the judge goes through the motions, it will appease Charlie enough to think he gave it his best shot.

Or it will drive him over the edge and force him to do something even more ridiculous. Either way.

Hundred dollar lawsuit, huh? You're an idiot.

Isn't this a public forum? Heed your own advice.

  3. 3

Depending on how Charlie's contract is written, he may have a real case.

$100?? hopefully Lorre can handle that……….would surely break my bank…….

If Charlie wants it public then it should be. You would think if he is so much in the wrong…Warner Bros. and ChuckieL wouldn't care. I think they don't want some things to be heard that might make them look bad and ppl. side with Charlie.

I think Charlie and his team might want transparency; attention, not quite as likely.

Just because you've been sued so often doesn't mean you know anything about the law. If this case was frivolous it would have been dismissed a long time ago. As another poster has already stated, depending on what Charlie's contract says, he may have a very legit case. Until you go to law school, please refrain from interjecting your ignorant personal opinion into something that is foreign to you.
