Do You Want To Walk Around The Outside Of The CN Tower?

Ok Spider-Man, now you can!

Thrill-seekers and anti-acrophobiaists alike! We've got something we think you're going to enjoy!

In August, the CN Tower will be debuting a brand-new, one of a kind experience near the very top of the tower. On Monday, tower officials announced that they will be launching EdgeWalk, “the most extreme experience” in the tower’s 35-year history, in which guests will have the chance to walk full circle on the OUTSIDE of the building.

That's right - 116-stories-up, nothing saving you from a plummeting death but a body harness and a (hopefully) sturdy cable attached to an overhead rail. SCARY!!!

Obviously, this kind of thing isn't for the faint of heart, but before you adrenaline junkies start booking flights out here, allow us to share with you a bit more info. The walk will last 20 to 30 minutes, with crazies adventure lovers walking in groups of six to eight around the outside of the CN Tower with nothing to hold onto and a only a 5 foot ledge to stand upon. As one employee of the Tower insists, it gets rather "windy" up there, so there is a good chance folks will get blown around a bit.

Still sound like your type of thing? YOU'RE BRAVER THAN US!!!

Thoughts on the new EdgeWalk experience? Sounds like a once in a lifetime thing, but still - it's something we can totally pass on!!!

Hell no! It is amazing as you get older this stuff becomes less and less appealing. Ask me when I was 19 and I would have been first in line.

Hell No! Scared of heights…just thinking about it makes me jittery.

I have lived here my whole life, you cannot get a feel for how tall that building is just from pictures.
I have been on the observation deck inside the screened in portion and it is soooo windy.
    No f-ing way!!

I live right across the CN Tower and there's NO WAY I'm doing that lol. Even being on the glass floor scares the life out of me lol. I don't need that adrenaline rush, my life is just fine thanks!

I've been there a couple of times, and the observation deck makes me nervous. heck, even standing on the glass floor 116 stories up makes me squeamish!

No way! I live in Toronto and it is extremely windy at the top when you're on the observation deck even though you are protected by the screen if I was outside I would probably fly away lol.

wow this is super cool. too bad I am deathly afraid of heights so will never ever be doing this. But cool for all those who love this type of thrill.

Would like to think I could give it a try but even walking across the glass floor on the observation deck made me a little woozy :/

I will be doing this for sure! even thought it does scare shit out of me lol

Thats very scary! But I do want to correct ONE thing… There ARE safety measures being taken.. for example.. There WILL be a safety net attached to the building underneath the ledge.. There will also be a safety bar, a handle for those walking to grip onto during strong gusts of wind. It WILL be completely safe, and only $175 CDN! :)

I remember being in the tower with my girlfriend and she didn't know she was on the glass floor. She looked down and then passed right out for 10 minutes. Good times in the big GTA
